Home at Rome Luxury Navona Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Home at Rome Luxury Navona on Via del Governo Vecchio, you’ll notice it’s tucked into one of those charming Roman buildings where the entrance feels almost secretive — you know, the kind where you ring the bell and take a small elevator up to the second floor. This four-star property sits right in the heart of historic Rome, and honestly, the location alone makes it worth considering. The building itself has that authentic Roman character, though don’t expect a grand hotel lobby — this is more like staying in an elegant Roman apartment that’s been thoughtfully converted for travelers.
The Navona Neighborhood
What I love about this spot is that you’re literally steps from Piazza Navona, but on a quieter street that locals actually use for their daily errands. Via del Governo Vecchio is one of those narrow cobblestone streets where you’ll find vintage shops, small cafés, and that authentic Roman atmosphere without the tourist chaos. You can walk to the Pantheon in about three minutes — I mean, you could probably throw a stone and hit it. The Tiber River is just a short stroll away, and you’re perfectly positioned to explore Trastevere or wander toward the Spanish Steps without needing any transportation.
The Space
The room feels more like a well-appointed city residence than a typical hotel setup, which makes sense given the name. Everything’s been designed with clean lines and modern touches, though they’ve kept some of the original architectural details that remind you you’re in a centuries-old building. The kitchen area is actually functional — not just a mini-fridge and coffee maker situation — so you could grab fresh ingredients from the local markets and prepare simple meals if you wanted to. Storage space is generous, and the bathroom feels surprisingly spacious for a Roman property of this size.
Morning Routine
Breakfast here covers all the bases with Continental, Italian, and American options, which honestly surprised me in a good way. You’ll get your typical Italian cornetto and cappuccino setup, but they also accommodate guests who want something more substantial to start their day. The Italian breakfast components are sourced locally — you can tell the difference in quality. What’s nice is that you can take your time with breakfast since this isn’t a massive hotel with hundreds of guests rushing through a buffet line.
Why Guests Love It
The location score of 9.5 makes perfect sense once you’ve stayed here — couples especially seem to appreciate being able to step out the door and immediately be part of Roman street life. There’s something romantic about having Navona’s fountains and street artists just around the corner, but then returning to your own quiet space away from the crowds. The property manages to feel both central and residential, which is exactly what you want when you’re trying to experience Rome like you actually live there, even if it’s just for a few days.

The location was absolutely superb, tucked off a busy street (with some of the best restaurants in Rome outside) you are right within walking distance of everything you could want, The Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, St Angelo's, the Vatican, all easy to reach.

Great contact with the stuff, tasty breakfast in the restaurant downstairs:)Lara from Canada (9/10)
Amazing location, comfortable and private accommodation. Easy to check in.
We had easy communication with the host and they were able to answer any questions by phone or text. Loved having access to drinks in the fridge and little touches like an umbrella and slippers.
The shower was also great as in Rome, they are often quite small.Ali from United States (9/10)
