Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about Hold Rome? The name made me think it’d be some trendy boutique thing, but honestly, it’s just a really solid luxury spot that happens to sit right where Rome gets interesting. I mean, Via Principe Amedeo isn’t exactly the street tourists Instagram, but that’s actually the point – you’re literally a two-minute walk from Termini Station (which sounds scary but isn’t), and somehow the whole area has this authentic Roman energy that the city center sort of… doesn’t anymore.
The suites themselves are genuinely spacious, which – if you’ve stayed anywhere in Rome before – you’ll appreciate. I’m talking actual living areas where you can spread out your stuff without playing Tetris with your luggage. The design leans modern without being cold, lots of warm wood and marble that feels Roman but not like they’re trying too hard to remind you where you are. What really surprised me was how quiet it stays, even though you’re practically on top of one of Europe’s busiest train stations. They’ve clearly invested in proper windows and insulation, because the only way you’d know Termini is right there is the convenience of it all.
Here’s the thing about this location that took me a day to figure out – you’re actually positioned perfectly between two different versions of Rome. Walk one direction and you hit the major tourist circuit (Colosseum’s maybe fifteen minutes on foot), but head the other way and you’re in Esquilino, where actual Romans live and eat. There’s this little morning market on Via Lamarmora that most visitors never find, and honestly some of the best Pakistani and Chinese food in the city is just around the corner. The 4-star rating feels right – it’s not trying to be the St. Regis, but the service is attentive without being fussy, and everything just… works. Check-in was smooth, the staff actually knows the neighborhood well enough to give decent recommendations, and I never had to call about anything broken or missing. Sometimes that’s luxury enough, you know? Plus, if you’re doing any day trips or catching early flights, being this close to Termini is genuinely game-changing – no stressed-out taxi rides through Roman traffic at 6 AM.

I highly recommend – Rima from Armenia – 14 April 2025 (9/10)
Very clean, very close to Roma termini, just 3 minutes walk, host was great and helpful, even though a bit small for 4 people, but the facilities were very good, cleaning and changing towels every day, there is a lift. I recommend.
Exceptional – Наталья from Ukraine – 29 March 2025 (10/10)
The hotel is small but excellent. Very clean and quiet. All historical monuments are within walking distance. Breakfast is quite good, you can always have tea or coffee.
The stay was better than we expected. – Marcin from Poland – 21 March 2025 (10/10)

Exceptional – Erona from Kosovo – 4 February 2025 (10/10)

Would stay here again! – Rachel from United Kingdom – 13 October 2024 (8/10)
Beautifully decorated, comfy bed, good aircon…and the pastry’s for breakfast were amazing. Highly recommend for a couple.
What could be improved: Only thing I would say is the location is a little bit rough on the surrounding streets as it’s so close to the main terminal however this also was a massive plus as getting about was so easy. We bought an Omnia Roma pass! Also the family opposite our room were very loud but nothing to do with the host.
