Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about HiSuiteROME? The elevator. I mean, you’re walking through this historic building on Via Di Monte Giordano – tucked away in one of those narrow streets that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something locals have been keeping secret – and suddenly there’s this sleek, modern elevator whisking you up to what’s honestly one of the nicest aparthotels I’ve stayed at in Rome. The whole place has this interesting contrast going on where they’ve clearly put serious money into renovating without losing that authentic Roman character.
The suites themselves are actually spacious (rare for central Rome, trust me), with proper kitchenettes that aren’t just for show. I ended up cooking breakfast a few times using ingredients from the little market on Via dei Coronari, which is maybe a three-minute walk if you don’t get distracted by all the antique shops. The beds are legitimately comfortable – not that rock-hard European style you sometimes get – and the bathrooms have rainfall showers that actually work well. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, even though you’re basically in the heart of everything. The street isn’t one of those main thoroughfares where Vespas are buzzing around at all hours, but you can still walk to the Pantheon in about five minutes.
Location-wise, it’s pretty much perfect if you want to be near the action without being overwhelmed by it. The Navona area can get absolutely packed during the day, especially around lunch when all the tour groups converge, but staying on Monte Giordano puts you just far enough away that you can escape when needed. There’s this little wine bar called Il Sorpasso about two blocks away that hardly any tourists know about – the kind of place where Romans actually hang out after work. Check-in was smooth, though I’d recommend calling ahead if you’re arriving after 10 PM since it’s not a massive hotel with 24-hour front desk staff. The whole operation feels more boutique than corporate, which honestly makes the 9.1 rating make sense. You’re paying for the location and the quality, but you’re not getting gouged the way you would at some of the bigger name places closer to the Spanish Steps.

Very nice place for a short stay in Rome – Shiyi from Switzerland – 3 July 2025 (9/10)
Very nice location – 10min walking to most tourist attractions. The room is a two-floor loft, with the bedroom on the second floor. Enough space and very clean. Equipped with a small kitchen – not enough to cook but good for heating some leftovers. Sofa-bed is quite big (for two people) and comfortable. Very nice, friendly and helpful staff. Assess with passcode – very easy.

It was a pleasant surprise to be entertained by our host Mike and his mother-in-law Laura. As a half-Filipino, Mike was able to offer us the kind of hospitability that we are familiar back home in the Philippines. Our 3-level apartment was very charming and located in a small town-like corner near Piazza Navona. Steps away from our apartment is this wonderful resto called Antica Taverna which served some of the most exquisite authentic Italian cuisines we've had during our visit. Watch out for Jamal and Yuseuf, the resto's.cool waiters. One of the highlights of our stay was having our morning coffee in a small table by the side of the road just outside our rented space. Truly a magical experience.
What could be improved: None at all!Perfect place to stay, the location is fantastic. – Ambieecka from United Arab Emirates – 10 June 2025 (10/10)
Super courteous, very responsive hosts, and they give you lots of tips on how to enjoy Rome. Shout out to Laura and Mike. The room was spacious, clean and had everything we could ask for. Location is perfect, literally in the heart of the city, most major attractions are walking distance.
Great location, very helpful staff – Howard from United Kingdom – 1 June 2025 (9/10)
Location and the staff were both super friendly and helpful-nothing was too much trouble
Exceptional – Evgenii from Portugal – 27 May 2025 (10/10)
Despite a small miscommunication about our dog, everything else was perfect. The self-check-in process at night was smooth, and check-out was just as easy. The room was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed. The location is ideal for exploring Rome on foot — you truly feel immersed in the lively Italian street atmosphere you see in movies. Thank you for a wonderful stay and a great vacation!
The perfect place to stay in Rome and the only place we would go back to! – Lelia from United States – 5 May 2025 (10/10)
Our apartment was perfectly located near Piazza Navona but not too close and in the center of a local's neighborhood with wonderful restaurants and walking distance to most everything including the Vatican.
What could be improved: We liked everything and knew if we needed anything Laura and Michael would be there for us. They had immediate and wonderful communication!Perfect stay – Sarah from United Kingdom – 5 May 2025 (10/10)
