Hotel Description

You know what struck me first about MySuiteTower Pantheon? It’s tucked away on Via dei Portoghesi – this narrow cobblestone street that honestly feels like a secret Rome locals have been keeping to themselves. I mean, you’re literally a two-minute walk from the Pantheon (hence the name, obviously), but somehow you’ve escaped that tourist bubble where everything costs twice as much and sounds like a construction site. The building itself has this understated elegance – it’s not trying to be some flashy boutique place, but when you walk into the lobby, there’s this sense of “okay, these people actually get it.”

The suites are what really won me over though. They’ve got this perfect balance of old Roman charm and modern functionality that so many places mess up. High ceilings, original hardwood floors that creak just enough to remind you you’re in a centuries-old building, but then – thank god – actually decent Wi-Fi and air conditioning that works. The bathrooms are surprisingly spacious for Rome (if you’ve stayed in the centro storico before, you know what I mean), and honestly, the water pressure is better than half the places I’ve stayed in newer parts of the city. One thing I really appreciated was the soundproofing – Via dei Portoghesi gets some foot traffic during the day, but by evening it’s surprisingly quiet. You can actually sleep with the windows open, which is rare this close to the major sights.

What really sets this place apart is the staff’s local knowledge. The woman at reception – I think her name was Giulia – didn’t just give me a tourist map and send me on my way. She actually explained which entrance to use for the Pantheon to avoid the worst crowds (spoiler: go around 8 AM or after 6 PM), and pointed me toward this little wine bar on Via del Governo Vecchio that I never would have found otherwise. The location is honestly perfect if you want to feel like you’re staying in “real” Rome while still being able to walk to all the big sites. You’re five minutes from Campo de’ Fiori, ten from Piazza Navona, and there’s this fantastic little market on Via di Ripetta where locals actually shop – not just tourists buying overpriced prosciutto. The 8.1 rating feels about right to me – it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury, but it does everything well without any major complaints. Just know that if you’re coming in summer, book the higher floors if possible – Rome gets hot, and you’ll want every bit of breeze you can get.

Reviews

  • Superb – Marja from Finland – 4 May 2025 (9/10)

The location of the property was excellent and the house has an interesting history. The apartment was clean and beautiful, the bed was comfortable and the views were amazing. Check-in was easy and we had keys, not electronic entry, which I was a little nervous about based on other reviews. The host was very helpful.

What could be improved: The shower had warm water, but only after a long time of draining. Another trash can in the room, a couple of drinking glasses and a small fruit knife would have been useful.

  • GREAT COUPLES STAY – Richard from United Kingdom – 3 October 2024 (9/10)

Beautiful building, stunning location, easy access to all major sites, Room was very comfortable.

What could be improved: Couple of small issues, but staff seemed willing to sort.

  • Beautiful building, great location, difficult check in – Susannah from Australia – 22 August 2024 (8/10)

The location was amazing, so close to all the main attractions, max walking 30 mins. The room was clean, in a lovely building with a rustic meets modern feel.

What could be improved: It was very hard and stressful to enter the building on check in. The online check in system is flawed and left us stranded outside the building trying to get in. We rang reception but he was not helpful. The key was not in the designated lock box on arrival and after another call had to wait for the bell boy to drive over to help us. He was really lovely though and helped us with our bags. This multiple key system is very tedious and during our stay we found it difficult at times to open the doors.

  • Very good – Aleksandra from United Kingdom – 1 July 2024 (8/10)

Great location. easy and quick response time, comfortable bed and spacious bathroom.

What could be improved: The room was clean apart from the floor. Shame because the place is really lovely.

  • Beautiful apartment, would deff stay again! – Davila from Germany – 7 June 2024 (9/10)

    location was ideal

What could be improved: accomadations in the room, there was no beverages of any kind

  • Location, view, staff were good. I would like more precise information about which is my room and how to get inside. Bec – Kristine from Latvia – 27 May 2024 (7/10)

The location and the view are excellent. Friendly service staff.

What could be improved: The sound insulation was not good and other visitors behaved loudly while in the corridor and because they did not understand how to open the apartment door, they rang the bell and frantically knocked on the door. The upper part of the wall is made of glass, when someone walks by at night, the light shines through the curtains, it disturbs.

  • Great place, comfortable beds, only annoying part was the 3 locks to get in and out of the building. – Chelsea from United States – 6 May 2024 (8/10)

    The bed was comfortable.

What could be improved: The locks to get in and out of the room and building were particularly annoying and instructions were not clear enough.

  • Beautiful Rome – Rosemary from Australia – 19 April 2024 (8/10)

There is nobody on site, but the staff were very prompt with attending to any issues. The location was great.

What could be improved: Entering the property with your phone was a little bit of a challenge.. Got used to it eventually .

  • Pleasant stay, would highly recommend. – Laura from United Kingdom – 1 March 2024 (8/10)

Location was great. Apartment was excellent – clean and spacious.

What could be improved: The entry in to the building/electronic locking system was temperamental though staff were quick to help via whats app. Also the hotel where we had the option to leave bags before check in/after check out was quite a distance from the apartment itself.

  • Good – Alex from United Kingdom – 29 February 2024 (7/10)

The property itself is good and the staff were helpful. Great location.

What could be improved: The entry system doesn’t work for the front door! As other reviews mention there is an app system to unlock 3 doors to get into the room. 1 for the front door doesn’t work, and we were left locked outside for an hour at midnight. This is unacceptable and very easy to solve by having a key lock box by the front door.
