Hotel Description

Look, I’ll be straight with you about Good Life Via Veneto – it’s one of those places that grows on you once you figure out what it’s actually about. The name sounds a bit grand, but honestly, this is a solid neighborhood choice that gets the fundamentals right without any pretense. It’s tucked up on the fourth floor of a building on Via Sardegna, which means you’re getting that authentic Roman apartment vibe rather than some sterile hotel lobby experience.

The location is actually pretty clever if you know Rome at all. You’re literally steps from Via Veneto – yeah, that Via Veneto where Fellini used to hang out and tourists still come to gawk at the fancy cafes. But here’s the thing: being just off the main drag on Via Sardegna means you get all the benefits without the constant buzz of foot traffic and overpriced everything. I mean, you can walk to the Spanish Steps in about ten minutes, hit Villa Borghese when you need some green space, and you’re close enough to the Termini area that getting around is never a headache. The elevator situation is… well, it’s Rome, so don’t expect lightning speed, but hey, fourth floor means you’ll get some decent light and less street noise.

What I really appreciate about this place is that it doesn’t try to be something it’s not. It’s a three-star that knows it’s a three-star, but the staff actually seems to care about getting things right. The rooms have that lived-in European feel – not fancy, but clean and comfortable with decent Wi-Fi (which, let’s be honest, is half the battle in older Roman buildings). The breakfast setup is pretty typical for this category, nothing revolutionary, but they do proper coffee and the basics are covered. You know what surprised me? How quiet it gets at night considering you’re in central Rome. Something about being up on the fourth floor and slightly off the main tourist trail works in your favor. The 7.8 rating makes sense to me – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it’s not going to disappoint either if you set your expectations correctly. This is the kind of place where you can actually relax after a day of sightseeing without feeling like you’re either slumming it or paying for amenities you don’t need.

Reviews

  • Great place for short stay! – Łukasz from Poland – 14 April 2025 (9/10)

The host – Andrea was amazingly helpful and nice. The breakfasts he served were super cool (he brought us even tradional Italian cakes!). The room was small but comfortable located in a calm neighbourhood but close to the all main attractions. Highly recommended!

  • Superb – Boaz from Italy – 17 May 2024 (9/10)

    Location, spacious, cool hottub

  • Very good place to stay – Elder_01 from Brazil – 3 October 2023 (8/10)

The location is amazing, an old buiding, with a excellent employee called Andrea, that make everything possible to please us.

What could be improved: The entrance is not clear, I took sometime to talk with the front desk. But , after this , ecevrything was amazing.

  • Good – Lisa from United States – 15 September 2023 (7/10)

Andre was fantastic and took care of us like family.

What could be improved: Not really a hotel/motel. There was only 5 rooms and staff was only there from 7 until 1500.

  • Good value for comfortable room in great location – Mel from Australia – 28 July 2023 (9/10)

Easy walk to restaurants and the fountain. Host was lovely and easy to communicate with. Room was clean and airy, also secure.

  • Once we located the property, the stay was good. – Jennifer from Canada – 28 June 2023 (7/10)

Andrea was amazing, accommodating, warm and helpful.

What could be improved: The GPS, taxi drivers and locals were ALL UNABLE TO FIND THE ADDRESS AS IT IS COMPLETELY WRONG ON ALL ONLINE MAPS!!!
This is a huge issue for people who are travel and don’t speak Italian well. Several hours wasted trying to find an address which is incorrectly represented on maps.
    Must be fixed.
Air conditioning is a must in Rome in Summer and ours was out of order. If we have this information before booking, we obviously would not have booked here. A bit misrepresented because air conditioning was listed as a feature and was not available. We should have been informed before arriving that this was an issue.

  • Good value for money and great location. Facilities needs to be improved. – Calvin from Philippines – 22 January 2023 (8/10)

the location is perfect and Andrea the host is very friendly and accommodating.

What could be improved: the heating system is not working well. during the day its okay but at night heater is not working. also hot water in the shower will just suddenly change to very cold water.
