What really impressed me was how quiet it gets at night, despite being so close to everything. These old buildings have thick walls, and the street is too narrow for much traffic anyway.

The staff actually knows the neighborhood, which sounds obvious but trust me, it’s not always the case. They pointed me toward this tiny enoteca three blocks away that I never would have found otherwise, and when I mentioned wanting to avoid the crowds at the Forum, they suggested specific entrance times that actually worked.
