You know what really struck me about Giuliana Vatican Luxury Home? It’s tucked away on Via della Giuliana in this perfectly quiet residential pocket that most tourists never discover – yet you’re literally a ten-minute walk from St. Peter’s Basilica. I mean, you can actually hear the church bells from the Vatican in the morning, which sounds cheesy but honestly gives you goosebumps when you’re having your coffee. The location is sort of genius because you’re in the Prati neighborhood, where actual Romans live and work, not just where they come to sell postcards to visitors.

The place itself feels more like staying in a really well-appointed Roman apartment than a typical hotel, which I think is exactly what they’re going for. The rooms have this warm, lived-in elegance – think beautiful parquet floors that creak just slightly when you walk (in a charming way, not an annoying way), and these gorgeous high ceilings with original moldings that make you feel like you’re in a period film. The beds are seriously comfortable, and they’ve got blackout curtains that actually work, which is clutch if you’re dealing with jet lag. What I really appreciated were the little touches that show someone was thinking – like proper reading lights on both sides of the bed, and a coffee setup that includes decent espresso pods, not that awful instant stuff some places try to pass off.

The staff genuinely seems to care about what they’re doing, and they’ll give you the kind of local recommendations that make a difference. They told me about this tiny trattoria around the corner on Via Crescenzio that I never would have found otherwise, and it ended up being one of my favorite meals in Rome. The 9.1 rating makes total sense when you stay here – it’s not trying to be flashy or over-the-top luxurious, but everything just works really well. The neighborhood itself is fantastic for morning walks (there’s a lovely tree-lined stretch along Via Cola di Rienzo that’s perfect for people-watching), and you’re close enough to Metro Line A that getting around the city is actually easy. Plus, parking is way less stressful here than in Centro Storico if you’re brave enough to drive in Rome. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the elevator is one of those classic tiny European ones, so if you’ve got massive suitcases, you might be doing some maneuvering – but honestly, that’s half the charm of staying in an authentic Roman building.

  The apartment is very nice, clean and comfortable. We were a family of 5 and had enough space specially with two bathrooms. It is my third time staying in Prati and I really like it because I think it is more calm and less touristy. The communication with Valerio was excellent. He was always was available to answer any questions. Thank Valerio!

  Un grazie a tutto lo staff, siamo stati, purtroppo solo una notte in questo magnifico appartamento a Roma precisamente a pochi metri dalla fermata Ottaviano., eravamo un gruppo di 7: amici l appartamento ha risposto a tutte le ns esigenze.appartamento ristrutturato bei minimi particolari,. Regnava l'odore si nuovo e soprattutto si pulito, . Valerio ci ha contattato già 4/5 giorni prima e ci ha guidati in tutto dal check-in, alle varie domande da noi fatte. Grazie sicuramente ritorneremo e vi consiglieremo.
