Here’s what I love about this location — you’re in Prati, which honestly feels like the best-kept secret in Rome. Most tourists rush straight to the Spanish Steps or Trastevere, but this neighborhood? It’s where actual Romans live and work. You’ve got the Vatican literally around the corner (I mean, you can walk there in about ten minutes), but you’re also surrounded by proper local cafés, family-run trattorias, and those little shops that have been here for decades. The Metro’s right there too, so getting anywhere else in the city is actually pretty straightforward.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was larger than I expected — and trust me, that’s saying something for Rome where space is usually at a premium. Clean lines, comfortable bed, and they’ve clearly put thought into the details without going overboard. The bathroom was modern and well-designed, with good water pressure (you know how hit-or-miss that can be in older Roman buildings). What really impressed me was the soundproofing — despite being on a fairly busy street, I slept well every night. The furnishings are thoughtfully selected to maximize comfort and functionality.

Practical Comforts

The staff here genuinely seem to know what they’re doing. They’re helpful without being pushy, and they actually have useful recommendations beyond the obvious tourist spots. Breakfast was solid — nothing revolutionary, but fresh pastries, good coffee, and enough variety to start your day properly. The Wi-Fi worked reliably throughout the building, which honestly shouldn’t be noteworthy but somehow still is in some Roman hotels. There’s also parking available, which is genuinely valuable if you’re planning any day trips outside the city.

What really sets this place apart is how it balances accessibility with authenticity. You can walk to St. Peter’s Basilica before the crowds arrive, grab lunch in a neighborhood trattoria where you might be the only non-Italian, and still make it to the Colosseum by afternoon without any stress.   The apartment was comfortable, and spacious. It is located in a safe and nice location close to shops, restaurants, Metro and the Vatican. It was nice having and airy apartment with lots of windows as well as air conditioning. It was nice to get some clothes washed. The host/owner was very nice and good communicator, he spent time telling us the best locations near by.
