Look, I’ve stayed in my fair share of Roman apartments, and honestly? Most of them are either cramped conversions or soulless tourist traps. But Elegantis Monti Suite Apartment – well, it’s actually what you hope for when you picture staying in Rome. The moment you walk up Via della Madonna dei Monti (and yeah, it’s a bit of a climb if you’re dragging heavy luggage), you realize you’re in one of those neighborhoods that feels genuinely Roman, not like a movie set designed for tourists.

The suite itself surprised me – I mean, when you see “apartment” in the name, you’re sometimes rolling the dice on whether you’ll get actual space or just a studio with delusions of grandeur. This place delivers on the elegance promise, though. The rooms have that Italian knack for making everything feel sophisticated without being stuffy, and the kitchen is actually functional if you want to grab some groceries from the little markets tucked around Monti. You know what I really appreciated? The windows actually open properly, and since you’re on a quieter stretch of the street, you get that perfect Roman soundtrack – distant scooters and conversations drifting up from the piazzas – without the all-night chaos you’d get closer to the main tourist drags.

Location-wise, you’re basically in the sweet spot of Rome. Monti has this perfect balance where you can walk to the Colosseum in about eight minutes (I timed it), but you’re also surrounded by those tiny wine bars and family-run trattorias that locals actually frequent. The Cavour metro stop is close enough that you don’t have to plan your entire day around transportation, and honestly, some of my favorite Roman moments happened just wandering the narrow streets around the apartment. There’s this little bakery on Via del Boschetto that does incredible cornetti in the morning, and the evening aperitivo scene around here feels authentic in a way that’s getting harder to find in central Rome. The only thing I’d mention – and this is really minor – is that like most historic Roman buildings, the elevator is… well, let’s call it “compact.” But that 9.8 rating makes total sense once you’ve actually stayed here. It’s one of those places where you understand why people fall in love with Rome, because you’re living in it rather than just visiting it.

  De locatie van deze accomodaties is echt geweldig. Op nog geen 5 minuten lopen sta je voor het Colloseum en het Forum Romanum. In de buurt wemelt het van de restaurantjes, fietsverhuur, de metro .
  Het bed is prima, de badkamers ook.
