Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places in Rome, and EasyInRome Navona actually gets it right in ways that surprised me. The location on Via dell’Orso is pretty much perfect – you’re literally a two-minute walk from the Pantheon, which honestly never gets old, even when you’ve seen it a dozen times. What I love about this spot is that it’s tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with the chaos of the main tourist drag, but you can still stumble back from dinner in Trastevere without worrying about night buses or expensive taxis.

The building itself has that classic Roman thing going on – you know, where the exterior looks like it’s been there since Caesar but inside they’ve done this smart renovation that doesn’t feel sterile or over-designed. The rooms are actually spacious by Roman standards (I mean, we’re not talking about some closet-sized place in the centro storico), and the windows in the front rooms give you these glimpses of daily Roman life that you just can’t get from the big chain hotels. I stayed during late spring, and honestly, the morning light coming through those windows while you’re having your coffee… it’s the kind of thing that makes you understand why people fall in love with this city. The air conditioning works properly too, which – trust me – matters a lot more than you think it will when July hits.

What really sold me on this place is the staff’s approach to recommendations. Instead of handing you some glossy brochure, they’ll tell you that the best gelato is actually at Giolitti (about a seven-minute walk), not the tourist trap near the Trevi Fountain, or that if you want to avoid the crowds at the Pantheon, go around 8 AM when it’s just you and the pigeons. They pointed me toward this little wine bar, Il Sorpasso, that I never would have found on my own – it’s where actual Romans go after work, not just tourists following Instagram posts. The breakfast setup is solid without being fancy, and there’s something to be said for starting your day with decent coffee and cornetti before heading out to explore. Parking is… well, it’s Rome, so forget about driving, but the nearest metro stop is Spagna, which gets you anywhere you need to go. The neighborhood gets lively in the evenings – you’ll hear people walking back from dinner, maybe some street musicians – but it’s not obnoxious party noise. It’s more like the soundtrack of a city that’s been perfecting the art of living well for a couple thousand years.

  What could be improved: I’m from the US and speak very little Italian. I was never able to directly connect with the owner for some reason. My what’s app was not functioning. When i tried to email still had issues. The only thing that saved me was I had an Italian friend who messaged WhatsApp to owner so we could connect. Stressful.
  
  
  Also after I left I got the message I was supposed to leave 4 euro for some tax. Well I don’t understand that. Why not just add that to my bill???

  It's a nice apartment, with everything you need to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Clean and roomy for 5/6 people.
  It is positioned in a superb location right near everything. You can go all the main attractions with walking distance.
  A super friendly and nice owner, she told me literally everything we needed to know from how to enter to a booklet with suggestions where to visit and emergency places, and restaurants where to eat.
  
  Would strongly recommend anyone who wants to go to Rome and stay in the middle of the city
