The Pantheon is maybe a three-minute stroll, and you know what? That’s not just convenient, it’s magical when you’re wandering back from dinner and suddenly there it is, all lit up at night. The narrow cobblestone streets around here are packed with authentic trattorias and wine bars that actually cater to Romans, not just tour groups.

Your Home Base

The room I stayed in was compact but thoughtfully designed — you can tell they really considered how to make the most of the space without it feeling cramped. The decor strikes this nice balance between modern comfort and respecting the building’s historic character. What really impressed me was the attention to detail, like proper lighting for reading and outlets where you actually need them. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious for a Roman hotel, and the shower had excellent water pressure, which honestly isn’t something you can take for granted in older buildings here.

Breakfast at Domus Giulia actually exceeded my expectations — they offer everything from continental and Italian options to full English and American styles, so whether you want a quick espresso and cornetto or need something more substantial before a day of sightseeing, you’re covered. I particularly appreciated that they use quality ingredients rather than just going through the motions. The Italian breakfast items felt authentic, and the coffee was properly strong. The breakfast area itself is cozy, though it can get busy during peak times, so I’d suggest heading down a bit earlier if you prefer a quieter start to your day.

  The accommodation itself is excellent; we enjoyed the spacious room, comfy beds, and the feeling of being at home. We liked the staff; they were very friendly and easy to communicate with about anything we needed. As a bonus, on the last day, due to our early departure (at 8 am), breakfast was served earlier so we could catch the cab.

  Liliana was simply amazing. She could not do enough, not only for us, but all the guests. She was extremely helpful with all our arrangements, booking a car transfer from the airport and holding out bags on the last day. She cooked the best eggs and set up a wonderful selection for breakfast daily. The room and bathroom were very clean and we slept really well in the comfy bed. The location was fantastic for walking all over Rome.

  The property was in probably the best location it could be. We are roughly 30 mins walking distance to almost every attraction. Colosseum, the Pantheon, Vatican City, Trevi Fountain, Spanish steps! This has given us the advantage of early starts and beating the queues and coming back in time for a midday rest before heading out to tasty evening meals.
  The staff was also exceptional! Lilliana has gone above and beyond to solve problems and she was smiling, friendly and helpful at all times. She truly made us feel welcome.

  The location of the place is actually amazing, booking here means that everything is reachable by foot.
  Not cheap but of course in Rome you expect it. Breakfast is ok and the room is kept clean and tidy
