You’re close enough to walk to St. Peter’s in about eight minutes (I timed it), but far enough away that you’re not drowning in tourist crowds every time you step outside.

The apartment itself feels like someone’s stylish Roman aunt decided to rent out her place – and I say that in the best possible way. There’s this authentic elegance that you just don’t get in cookie-cutter hotels. The floors have that satisfying click when you walk across them, and the windows actually open properly (you’d be surprised how rare that is in Rome). What really got me was the attention to detail – proper coffee cups, not those tiny hotel ones, and the shower pressure is honestly better than what I have at home. The 4-star rating feels right; it’s not trying to be overly fancy, but everything works beautifully. Plus, the Wi-Fi actually reaches every corner of the place, which… well, if you’ve stayed in Italian apartments before, you know that’s not always guaranteed.

But here’s the thing that really sets this place apart – the neighborhood knowledge you get just by staying here. There’s this little alimentari right around the corner on Via Barletta where the owner, Giuseppe, will slice you the most incredible prosciutto, and there’s a morning market on Via Andrea Doria (maybe a three-minute walk) that most tourists never find. The metro stop at Ottaviano is close enough when you need it, but honestly, I found myself walking everywhere because the streets in Prati are actually pleasant – tree-lined and wide enough that you’re not constantly dodging Vespas. Evenings are particularly nice; there’s this gentle hum of local life, families heading home, the occasional church bell, but none of the chaos you get closer to the major sites. The 9.5 rating makes complete sense once you’ve been there – it’s the kind of place where small things are done right, where you feel like you’re living in Rome rather than just visiting it.

  It's just perfect! Marzia and her husband are super attentive hosts. The location couldn't be better – Vatican and metro just around the corner. The beds are comfortable, bathrooms are modern and the living room is cozy and spacious. It's truly one of the best apartments we've ever stayed in.

  Great location , area felt really safe, apartment clean , beds comfy and layout of beds perfect for family of 5 with teenagers. Local restaurants good & restaurant below happy to store bags for small charge on last day .

  This a great place if you want to visit Vactican City. Just a short walk. Also a short walk to the Metro system, so the whole Rome is easily accessible.
  Good and quick contact with the owners via booking.com app and phone. Owners helped us to find restaurants around.
  Very big apratment with two bedrooms, one living room, two bathrooms and a kitchen.
  On a checkout day there is a possibility to leave luggages at the restaurant in the building for 3 EUR/suitcase.
  We have got a nice gift from the owners for staying with them.
  There were also available towels for our whole group of 5 (which is not a case in most of the hotels!),
  The aparment is located on the level 1 (just one level above the ground), but there is an elevator available.

  Location was great, super easy to get to and so close to Vatican and St. Peter's Basilica. Great amenities, all appliances worked perfectly and stay was super comfortable. Bonus, Marzia even arranged a cab for airport drop off at short notice for a very reasonable fare.

  The property was immaculate and beautifully decorated. The location couldn't be more perfect – it's just a short walk from Vatican City! Our host was friendly and helpful; she even met us at the property and showed us around. It was such a warm and welcoming gesture! She left some treats for us in the kitchen, along with a lovely bottle of wine. I'm planning to return to Rome and stay at this property again!
