Hotel Description

You know what? I’ve stayed at a lot of B&Bs around Rome, and Divine really gets it right in ways that surprised me. First off, you’re on Viale Glorioso – which honestly sounds way fancier than it is, but that’s actually perfect because you get this lovely tree-lined street that’s quiet enough for morning coffee on your little balcony (if you snag one of those rooms) without being stuck in some sterile hotel district. The Trastevere location means you’re maybe a seven-minute walk from the real action around Piazza di Santa Maria, but far enough that you’re not dealing with the evening chaos of drunk study-abroad kids stumbling past your window at 2 AM.

The place itself has that authentic Roman apartment feel – I mean, it’s clearly been converted from an old palazzo, so you get these gorgeous high ceilings and original tile work, but the owners (and I actually met them during check-in) have done this thoughtful renovation that doesn’t feel like they’re trying too hard. The breakfast spread is honestly better than most hotels twice the price – proper espresso, obviously, but also fresh cornetti from the bakery down on Via della Scala, and they do this thing with local honey that I’m still thinking about months later. What really sold me though was how they handle the practical stuff. Parking in Trastevere is basically a nightmare, but they’ve got this arrangement with a garage about three blocks away, and when I mentioned I was worried about dragging my luggage over cobblestones, the owner just shrugged and said “leave it, we’ll handle it” – and they actually did.

The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid 4-star place, nothing revolutionary but everything works properly, which honestly is more than I can say for some of the boutique places I’ve tried in Rome. Good water pressure, air conditioning that actually cools the room, and – this is key – windows that properly block out sound. I was there during August when half the neighborhood seemed to be having late-night conversations in the street, and I slept perfectly fine. The whole experience just felt… easy, I guess? Like staying with relatives who happen to have really good taste and know how to take care of people. Plus, and this might sound weird, but the WiFi was actually fast enough that I could video call home without that awkward lag that makes you feel like you’re talking to someone on the moon. For the price point and location, especially if you want to experience Trastevere properly without sacrificing comfort, Divine hits this sweet spot that’s harder to find than you’d think.

  • Nice little room that was clean and close to local attractions.Host Lorenzo was very accommodating – Jeffrey from United States – 4 July 2025 (9/10)

Location was close to key areas in Trastevere. Host Lorenzo was very accommodating.

What could be improved: Small room but fine for two night stay with spouse.

  • Lovely place to stay in Rome – Andrea from Spain – 2 July 2025 (10/10)

We spent 7 nights at the B&B and we had an amazing time there. The owner was super nice, he checked on us during our whole stay to make sure everything was okay, he left some bottles of water in the fridge (which were super helpful and needed in the summer heat!) and some treats to sweeten our day! The cleaner was kind and very effective, as the room was always perfect. We had a minor problem with the flush in the toilet which was solved very quickly! The breakfast that was included was in a very nice cafè, the waiters were nice and the "cornettos" were very yummy. The tram stop is 1min away from the B&B and you are in Piazza Venezia in less than 15 minutes. Thank you Lorenzo for our amazing stay in Rome!!

    What could be improved: –

Brilliantly located, perfect room for me and my two teenagers. Really clean, no issues with WiFi and a short walk to lots of restaurants and shops and the main sights of Rome. We arrived earlier than check in but as the room was ready we were welcomed in.

What could be improved: No negatives

  • You are doing great, keep going! – Jejaaaa from Serbia – 26 May 2025 (10/10)

Everything was perfect! The host was very friendly and helpful, and communication was easy. He provided clear instructions on how to reach the place and check in, followed up after we landed, and made sure everything was okay. The room was very clean, comfortable and spacious — even more spacious than most places I’ve stayed in Rome before. He also gave great recommendations for bars and restaurants, along with a map and explanations on how to get to all the important tourist spots. Highly recommended!

What could be improved: Everything perfect!

  • Exceptional – Sarvanne from Sweden – 20 March 2025 (10/10)

Lorenzo is a very good host. The room was nice and very clean and the breakfast was perfect for us. Perfect spot if you like Trastevere.

    Great location and comfortable stay

  • Great intro to Rome – Agapi from United States – 11 January 2025 (9/10)

I loved how close it was to everything and how helpful the host was in checking in and getting settled- it was a very positive experience for a student new to Rome. The price was affordable for the location and I felt completely safe while in the room.

What could be improved: The toilet had some issues and the building was generally old, but it didn't affect my stay too much.
