Hotel Description

You know what struck me first about DIDAVI’ Guest House? The address looks intimidating – Via Dire Daua Scala C, Interno 11 – but honestly, once you figure out the Italian apartment building system, it’s actually pretty straightforward. This is Rome doing what Rome does best: hiding gems in plain sight. The Parioli area up here is where actual Romans live, not just tourists snapping photos, and you can feel the difference immediately.

The place itself feels like staying at your well-traveled aunt’s apartment, if your aunt happened to have impeccable taste and a 9.3 rating on booking sites. I mean, those numbers don’t lie – there’s something special happening here. The owners clearly get that travelers want authentic Roman living without sacrificing comfort. The rooms have that perfect balance of local character and modern necessities, and honestly, the attention to detail shows in ways that matter. Good water pressure (crucial in older Roman buildings), actual storage space for your stuff, and windows that actually block out street noise – which, let’s be real, is gold in this city.

What I love about this location is how it puts you in real Rome while keeping you connected to everything else. You’re walking distance from Villa Borghese when you need green space, but you’re also close enough to the tram lines that getting to the Colosseum or Trastevere doesn’t require a whole production. The neighborhood has those perfect little cafes where the barista starts making your cappuccino before you even order because they remember you from yesterday. There’s a decent grocery store nearby too – not one of those tiny tourist traps, but an actual place where locals shop. Parking can be tricky like everywhere in Rome, but the hosts know the area well enough to give you real advice, not just vague directions. The whole experience feels less like checking into a hotel and more like borrowing a friend’s place, except everything actually works and the coffee is always perfect.

  • Атанасова from Bulgaria (10/10)

We spent four wonderful nights in Federico's apartment! Everything was as described. The room was clean and well maintained. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom was super! The owner has taken care of all the small details to make the stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible – coffee machine, tea, small mini bar fridge, towels and daily cleaning of the room was included. He was also kind enough to recommend places to eat nearby. The place is located very close to a metro stop and it was very easy to get around to all famous destinations. Thank you Federico! If we visit Rome again some day, we will definitely look for you!

Very clean, close to metro station (20 min to the Colossum, direct line), seemed to be a safe neighbourhood. Host, Federico, supported us with everything we needed. Would definitely come back.

  • Hallell from Israel (10/10)

Federico hosted us, helped with everything while we stayed here and even showed us the way to our next destination after we checked out. A kind person! We loved the location since it was very close to multiple things we wanted to see and visit. Highly recommended!
