Hotel Description
Look, I’ve stayed at my fair share of Roman hotels, and the Di Rienzo Pantheon Palace honestly surprised me in the best way. You know that feeling when you’re walking through Rome’s crazy-narrow medieval streets and suddenly stumble onto something that just feels right? That’s this place. It’s tucked on Via Dei Redentoristi – which, let’s be honest, you’ll probably mispronounce like I did – but it’s literally a two-minute walk from the Pantheon. I mean, I could hear the morning tour groups gathering, but somehow the hotel itself stays remarkably quiet.
The thing about this area is that it’s proper old Rome, not the touristy circus around the Trevi Fountain. You’ve got locals grabbing their morning cornetto at the café around the corner, and there’s this little alimentari where the owner remembers your face after day two. The hotel itself has that refined Roman elegance thing down – you know, marble that’s actually been there for decades, not the fake stuff they slap up in chain hotels. The lobby feels like stepping into someone’s well-appointed apartment, if that someone happened to have impeccable taste and a serious art collection. What really got me was the staff – they’re not just friendly, they actually know the neighborhood. When I mentioned wanting good cacio e pepe, the guy at reception didn’t just point me toward some tourist trap. He sent me to this tiny place on Via del Governo Vecchio where locals actually eat.
The rooms are proper four-star without being stuffy about it. My room had these gorgeous high ceilings (thank god, because Roman summers are brutal), and the bathroom was surprisingly spacious – you know how Rome can be with tiny spaces. The bed was comfortable enough that I actually overslept twice, which never happens when I travel. Honestly, the whole place just works. It’s not trying too hard to be boutique-y or Instagram-perfect, it’s just a really solid hotel in an incredible location run by people who care about what they’re doing. The 8.6 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s the kind of place where all the little things are done right, from the way they handle your luggage to how they remember you take your morning espresso. If you want to actually feel like you’re staying in Rome instead of just passing through, this is your spot.

Exceptional – Max from United Kingdom – 28 June 2025 (10/10)
The location staff and room was all excellent, everything was clean tidy but also had a great homely feeling to it. For the most part we were left to put own devices which is what we loved the most. Would recommend any first time or frequent flyers going to Rome to consider this place. Salvo was wonderful and incredibly helpful, not once did I feel like there was any issues or I couldn't ask about any issues I might of had. All in all I personally would like to thank salvo and the lovely maids who work there, they made our stay wonderful.
What could be improved: Only thing I didn't like was that we couldn't if stayed there any longer, and the TV we couldn't get English speaking channels as much, but visiting another country I wasn't expecting I'd be able to. Nor did it take away from the trip in any regard .This was a fantastic stay with a very gracious host! – Alex from United States – 21 June 2025 (9/10)
The room was centrally located to all the major attrations. We were really within walking distance of many things including shops, restauarants and sites. The best part of the stay was Salvo. He was very helpful, funny and had great recommendations.
