Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Daplace – Livia Apartment? It’s actually tucked away on Via Quintino Sella in a way that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something the tour groups haven’t found yet. I mean, you’re literally a five-minute walk from the Trevi Fountain, but the street itself has this quiet, residential vibe that honestly surprised me. The building has that classic Roman elegance – the kind with those heavy wooden doors and marble stairs that make you slow down and actually notice where you are.
The apartment itself feels like someone’s stylish Roman aunt decided to rent out her place (in the best possible way). Everything’s been thoughtfully updated without losing that authentic Italian character – the floors have this beautiful herringbone pattern, and the windows are tall enough that you get proper light streaming in during the morning. What I really appreciated was how they handled the details that matter when you’re actually living somewhere for more than a night. The kitchen isn’t just for show – you can actually cook a decent meal if you want to hit the local markets, and the bathroom has one of those rainfall showers that doesn’t make you feel like you’re camping. The 4-star rating feels right – it’s polished and comfortable without being stuffy about it.
Location-wise, this is where it gets interesting. You’re in Ludovisi, which locals know as one of those neighborhoods that’s central but not touristy-central, if that makes sense. Via Veneto is right there (yes, the Fellini street), and you can walk to Villa Borghese when you need some green space. But here’s the thing – you’re also close enough to Barberini metro that getting around Rome is actually easy, not just something people say to be polite. I loved that you could grab morning coffee at the little place on the corner where the barista remembers your order, then be at the Pantheon fifteen minutes later. The area gets busy during the day but quiets down nicely in the evenings – no honking scooters keeping you awake, which honestly can be an issue in some parts of Rome.
The 9.3 rating makes complete sense once you’re there. It’s one of those places where everything works the way it should – the WiFi doesn’t cut out during video calls, the air conditioning actually cools the whole space, and check-in was smooth even when I arrived later than planned. I think what really sets it apart is that it feels like staying in Rome rather than just visiting it. You’re not in some generic hotel corridor – you’re opening shutters onto a Roman street, buying groceries at the alimentari downstairs, living the way Romans actually live. It’s perfect for couples who want something romantic but not cheesy, or anyone who’s done the backpacker thing and wants to experience the city with a bit more comfort and style.

Great stay. I would book here again – Bruno from Australia – 4 May 2025 (9/10)
I love the autonomy. So easy to go up and down. Perfect for the family. We could have spent 2 weeks there easily. Great restaurants nearby as well.
What could be improved: Not enough mirrors. Flooring a bit uneven. My little niece fell over a couple of times in the apartment. But apart from this it was fantasticExceptional – Pelagia from Greece – 18 February 2025 (10/10)
The apartment is very big and comfortable. We stayed a group of 6 people and it was very convenient.3 big bedrooms, living room, lots of air conditioners 2 bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, big table, clean.

Very nice apartment in a nice quiet area. Good communication with company as well as very good communication from the property manager.
Lyhyt kaupunkiloma, joka sisälsi historiallisia nähtävyyksiä, hyvää ravintolaruokaa ja shoppailua. – Tommi from Finland – 2 May 2025 (10/10)
What could be improved: Huoneistossa olisi voinut olla pesukone ja astianpasukoneeseen pesuainetta. Ainakin kadunpuoleisiin huoneisiin kuuluu yöllinen roska-autoralli. Suosittelen korvatulppia, jos on herkkäuninen.Vacanza rilassante al centro di Roma😀 – Antonella from Italy – 4 April 2025 (10/10)

Appartamento ben tenuto e spazioso
What could be improved: Mancava un terrazzoNon è stato come mi aspettavo – Stella from Italy – 2 July 2025 (6/10)
