Hotel Description

Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name “Crispi 2enty,” I thought it was some trendy millennial rebrand that would be all style and no substance. But actually walking into this place on Via Francesco Crispi completely changed my mind. The address itself tells you everything you need to know about the location – you’re literally a three-minute walk from the Spanish Steps, which means you’re in the heart of everything without being stuck in tourist chaos 24/7.

What really struck me about this hotel is how they’ve nailed that sweet spot between modern comfort and Roman character. The building feels authentically Roman (you know, thick walls that actually keep the summer heat out), but the interiors have this clean, contemporary vibe that doesn’t try too hard. The rooms are what I’d call “thoughtfully sized” – not massive, but everything has its place, and honestly, when you’re spending your days wandering around Rome, you just need a comfortable bed and a good shower. Speaking of which, the water pressure is actually decent, which… well, if you’ve stayed in older Roman buildings, you know that’s not always guaranteed. The staff genuinely seems to care about getting the details right, and check-in was refreshingly smooth – no standing around for twenty minutes while they figure out their system.

Here’s the thing about the location that guidebooks won’t tell you: Via Francesco Crispi is just far enough from the main tourist drag that you can actually walk down the street without getting swept up in selfie-stick traffic, but close enough that you can pop over to the Spanish Steps for that obligatory photo whenever you want. You’re also positioned perfectly for some serious shopping damage – Via del Corso and Via Condotti are right there, and there’s this little gelato place around the corner that locals actually go to (always a good sign). The Barberini metro stop is a short walk away, so you can easily get to the Vatican or Trastevere without dealing with Roman traffic. I stayed here in late spring, and the area gets lively in the evenings but settles down enough that you can actually sleep – the windows do a decent job keeping the street noise manageable. With an 8.8 rating, this place has clearly figured out how to make guests happy without breaking the bank, and after spending a few nights here, I can see why people keep coming back.

Reviews

  • Excellent location and perfect for 4 friends staying – Dawn from United Kingdom – 8 June 2025 (10/10)

It was very central for all the sights. Had an early fight and was well accommodated for when we asked for an early check in, much appreciated.

What could be improved: The hot water in the bath and shower was very temperamental and offer with very hot or very cold.

Despite the fact that We could not get the stove top to work and related this to our host and informed him that even with his instructions we could not get it to work and hence had no access to coffee or tea. We were there for 3 days without a working stove and no one came to check on it.
