Hotel Description

You know what struck me first about Cozy Tritone? The name actually makes sense – it really does feel like staying at someone’s well-appointed Roman apartment rather than a typical hotel. I mean, when you’re on Via delle Quattro Fontane (literally steps from the Trevi Fountain, but more on that in a sec), you expect tourist chaos, but this place sits on a quieter stretch where you can actually hear yourself think.

The location is honestly perfect if you want to be in the thick of things without the constant street noise. You’re about a two-minute walk from the fountain – I timed it because I’m obsessive like that – but you’re far enough away that you won’t have tour groups gathering outside your window at 6 AM. The street itself has this lovely old Roman feel, with those traditional shuttered windows and the kind of worn cobblestones that make you feel like you’re walking through history (though honestly, wear comfortable shoes because Rome’s streets are not forgiving). What I loved was how the hotel staff actually knew the neighborhood – they sent me to this tiny enoteca around the corner on Via del Tritone that I never would’ve found otherwise, and it became my go-to spot for evening wine.

The rooms themselves have that “extra home” vibe they’re going for – nothing too fancy, but everything you need is there and it’s done thoughtfully. The beds are properly comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the bathrooms are modern without being sterile. I stayed in October, which is peak season, and while the area gets busy during the day, the hotel itself maintained this calm atmosphere that made it easy to recharge between wandering sessions. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no upselling or lengthy explanations, just friendly efficiency. One small thing that impressed me: they had actual local recommendations printed on nice paper, not just generic tourist spots, including specific gelato places and which metro stops to avoid during rush hour. The WiFi worked perfectly, which matters when you’re trying to navigate Roman public transport apps or upload those inevitable fountain photos. If I had to nitpick, the elevator is tiny (very European), so if you’re traveling with lots of luggage, be prepared for multiple trips. But honestly, for the location and the genuine comfort level, it’s exactly what you want in Rome – a place that feels like a real neighborhood find rather than a tourist trap.

  • Exceptional – Mihai from Romania – 8 April 2025 (10/10)

Clean, good position in the city, nearby Fontana di Trevi and Spanish Steps you are close to restaurants, supermarkets, metro station is very close, the apartment is big you have a comfortable bed and a sofa that become a bed, kitchen is good equipped. The check-in process is very easy and you can connect easy with property in case you need something, I recommend.

  • Wonderful first experience in Rome – Marjorie from Germany – 4 April 2025 (10/10)

Alessandro welcomed us very kindly. The apartment was a lot bigger than what I was expecting, it seems to be a traditional layout from here, a narrow and long apartment.
Even though right on a busy street, it was well insulated from the noise.
We needed help and they've fixed the issue within the day.
This apartment is also well located and lots of big attractions are walkable and otherwise you can hop on the metro or the bus close by.

What could be improved: We washed some clothes and as we traveled in spring and it is not very warm still, the clothes didn't dry very well.
It is not a big issue per se, just plan accordingly

  • Exceptional – Alexandra from Greece – 30 March 2025 (10/10)

The apartment, which is near the Barberini metro station, makes for the best option for those visiting as you can walk to almost all of rome. It looks exactly like the pictures and was quite big and clean. Perfect for a family. The couch- bed is comfortable and the apartment has air conditioning in every room. Also, the agent that gave us the keys had great energy!

  • Superb – Alexia from Argentina – 9 December 2024 (9/10)

It was clean and had everything necesarry for our stay

What could be improved: The adress is wrong, it’s 50m away from where it’s says on google maps, which gave us problems finding the apartment.
Also a whatsapp number to communicate could be useful to have a easier communication.

  • Very good – See from Hong Kong – 3 August 2023 (8/10)

the property has four air conditioning, with 1 in the bathroom, very impressed! Super friendly and helpful staff. One of the air con didn’t work and he came back very quickly to fix it. Wifi was good and it is walking distance to almost all the tourist spots

What could be improved: maybe the red curtain, not so light-blocking

  • Very good – Nadina from Bosnia and Herzegovina – 25 March 2025 (8/10)

We had a great stay at this apartment! The location of the apartment is perfect, we could easily walk to all the main attractions in Rome without needing public transport. The apartment was well equipped, providing everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The staff was very helpful and arranged transportation to and from the airport, which made everything so much easier. It was also great value for money, offering a wonderful experience at a reasonable price.

  • Great apartment in city center – location redeems all small inconveniences 🙂 – Gritė from Lithuania – 11 September 2023 (8/10)

Location – perfect. You can walk to all main atractions as they are very close by. Nice to have air conditioniers as it was very hot outside (it was a pleasure to come back to cool apartment). Nice to have toilet ant shower as separate rooms – we where able to get ready very quickly. Big and nice shower. All main things that you need is there (towels, soap, shampoo).

What could be improved: Front door lock was very hard to open – we looked like trying to break in 😀 sofa was squeaky, but main bed was very comfortable.

  • Pleasant – Chen from Israel – 16 April 2025 (6/10)

Location very close to all attractions
    Customer relations answers quickly

What could be improved: It’s need renovation very poor facilities.
Not enough hot water for family of 4 people.

  • Poor – Emre from Turkey – 4 July 2025 (3/10)

What could be improved: When I came to check in to apartment, no one came.to welcome, just send entrance password of apartment by whatsapp.

Hot water heating system didnt work, and not one came to repair it because of the saturday, we couldnt take shover in bathroom in hot summer day, and so I have to leave after just one staying.

I hope booking.com will refund for remain 3 days and city taxes, I am waiting.for 5 days to refund.

Apartment was so old, like abandoned, scary.
There is only one window with street view, other windows looks to the other apartments walls, and not taking fresh air from outside.

Just one good thing I can say for home, home appliances was tolerable.

  • We hebben genoten van de stad, vrijwel alles op loopafstand. – D from Netherlands – 28 April 2025 (9/10)

    Schoon en locatie

What could be improved: Weinig daglicht
