Hotel Description

You know what caught me off guard about Core De Roma Suites? The moment you step out the front door, you’re literally on the Lungotevere with the Tiber flowing right there – I mean, you can hear the water if you listen past the usual Roman traffic hum. Most people think of Trastevere as just cobblestone alleys and trattorias (which, fair enough, that’s the best part), but this spot sits right on the edge where the neighborhood meets the river, so you get this interesting mix of local Roman life and tourist energy without feeling completely overrun.

The suites themselves are honestly what you’d expect from a solid 4-star place – nothing revolutionary, but they’ve got that clean, modern Italian hotel thing down pretty well. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, considering you’re in one of Rome’s busiest neighborhoods for nightlife. The windows actually do their job, which… trust me, after staying in places where you can hear every Vespa that passes by at 2 AM, you learn to appreciate good soundproofing. The staff has this relaxed Roman approach – they’re helpful without being overly formal, and they actually know the neighborhood well enough to steer you toward the less touristy spots. One guy at the front desk told me about this tiny wine bar on Via della Pelliccia that I never would’ve found otherwise.

Here’s the thing about the location that really works – you’re close enough to walk to Campo de’ Fiori in maybe 15 minutes if you take the Ponte Sisto (gorgeous at sunset, by the way), but far enough from the main Trastevere action around Piazza Santa Maria that you’re not dealing with crowds of study abroad students every single night. The 7.9 rating feels about right to me – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it’s reliable and comfortable, and honestly, when you’re spending your days wandering around Rome’s museums and stuffing yourself with cacio e pepe, reliable and comfortable is exactly what you want. Plus, there’s something kind of nice about falling asleep to the sound of the Tiber instead of the usual city chaos. If you’re the type who likes to morning jog, the riverfront path is right there, though fair warning – Roman drivers have a very… creative relationship with pedestrian spaces.

  • Lovely – Cindy from Australia – 7 May 2025 (9/10)

Central, situated between Vatican City and Roman Forum. Near lots of restaurants and cafes. Very clean, nicely decorated rooms, lovely staff. Close to public transport

What could be improved: Noise outside late at night from the bar below the hotel

  • Superb – Lapolla from United States – 11 April 2025 (9/10)

Very nice ataff and easy going. We had the private external bathroom… which only caused an issue in the norning as we had tonwalk past the front desk to go to the bathroom as people were coming in and out.

  • Good – Gilinsky from Israel – 10 April 2025 (7/10)

I've loved the stuff. I've loved the neighborhood, I've enjoyed my stay all at all butttttt
The external bathroom is not fun😊
Make sure U understand before U buy that it is not in the room.
Also, the hot water ran out after 10 minutes+-
Not for fun long showers. Also it's a tiny shower.
U can hear everything from the wall and window so you'll wake up at 9 for sure haha. Which is good if U wanna make Ur day worth it.

The breakfast is coffee and Croissant. The Croissant is amazing 🤌😋. But it's not full breakfast at all

Hmmm, overall – with amazing stuff. Good location, fun bars at walking distance, I would give it 7.5 for the money:)
    -see you next time

The B&B is in a perfect location, you can reach by walk most of the historical sites in Rome, you have a variety or restaurants and bar close by.

The room was clean and comfortable , the staff super nice and kind.

Since we booked for New Year, the staff also gave us a bottle of Prosecco to celebrate. Much appreciated!!

  • Lovely and comfortable stay – Deependra from India – 15 November 2024 (9/10)

Property itself is vintage and well maintained and conveniently placed in happening place Trestevere. Host and support staff were very helpful and safely collected our luggage from the airlines courier since our luggage got delayed by one day.

The location is fantastic. A couple of minutes walk to the bus and tram stop. Massive night life all around with bars, cafes and restaurants seconds away.
Good accommodation with a splash of character.

What could be improved: Massive night life all around with bars, cafes and restaurants seconds away. Very difficult to escape the noise that goes on until 2-3am most nights.
