Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Coppelle Charme? The name actually makes sense once you’re there – it really does feel like staying at someone’s stylish Roman apartment, just one where everything works perfectly and the sheets are way nicer than anything you’d buy yourself. The building sits right on Via della Scrofa, which honestly took me a minute to pronounce correctly, but the location is absolutely gold. I mean, you’re literally a three-minute walk from the Pantheon, and not the “well, it’s walkable” kind of three minutes – actual three minutes.
The whole setup here is pretty clever. They’ve got this boutique thing down without being pretentious about it, which is refreshing in a city where you can easily drop serious cash on hotels that are all style and no substance. The rooms feel genuinely lived-in rather than sterile – there’s character in the details, like the way they’ve mixed modern fixtures with these old Roman building bones. The 8.7 rating makes total sense when you’re actually there because it’s the little things that add up: the shower has proper water pressure (not always a given in historic Roman buildings), the AC works without sounding like a helicopter, and someone clearly thought about where you’d actually want to plug in your phone charger. The staff seems to know the neighborhood inside and out too – they pointed me toward this tiny café around the corner on Via di Campo Marzio that I never would have found otherwise, and it ended up being one of those perfect morning coffee spots where locals actually go.
What really sold me on the place, though, was how it handles the whole “being in the center of Rome” thing. You’re close enough to walk everywhere that matters – the Spanish Steps are maybe ten minutes if you’re strolling, Piazza Navona is right there – but the street itself doesn’t get the crazy tourist foot traffic that makes some central locations feel like living inside a theme park. Evenings are actually peaceful, which is sort of miraculous when you consider where you are. The Spagna area has this perfect balance where you’ve got real neighborhood life mixed with the tourist stuff, so you can grab groceries or find a proper restaurant without everything being overpriced tourist traps. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if you’re the type who likes to walk everywhere and wants to feel like you’re actually in Rome rather than just visiting it. The four-star rating feels right – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in the city, but everything works, the location can’t be beat, and you’ll sleep well knowing you’re not missing out on anything by staying somewhere a bit off the beaten path.

Overalll pleased – Scanlon from United States – 2 June 2025 (8/10)
Location was good not knowing exactly where we wanted to be but everything was walkable or u can order an uber.
What could be improved: There was an issue that needed to be taken care of during our stay and it would’ve been nice to get notice prior to our arrival as opposed to when we were walking in the door. Additionally, when we checked in the toilet paper in one bathroom was almost gone as was thr other bathroom and we were there for four days and they would not replace it. They said we had to get it ourselves. Wow this is a small thing. It was not clear again in the booking about the toilet paper the towels yes but not the toilet paper.Pleasant – Svetlana from Russia – 28 March 2025 (6/10)
Great location! All major attractions are within walking distance. Suitable for a large company or family: three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a washing machine and a dishwasher, a spacious living room, a minimarket, a pharmacy, and good restaurants nearby.
What could be improved: The furniture in the bathroom is not securely installed; the cabinet is loose, everything falls off it, the towel rail fell on one of the guests because of poor fastening.
When we left, by agreement with the owner, we left the keys in the apartment, went out into the hall, but were unable to go outside because the lock was jammed (usually it opens by pressing a button). We found ourselves blocked between the grating that closes the stairs to the apartments and the street door. We did not receive any help when we asked the owners and received the answer: "We usually use the button . Thank you."
We were surprised and upset by this attitude, considering that we were in a hurry to leave. It's good that we had scissors and we were able to open the lock with themLocatie centrala, perfecta pentru un city-break. – Raluca from Romania – 14 March 2025 (10/10)
Locatia relativ centrala. Apartamentul generos. Baile mari si curate. Au fost prosoape, sapun, gel de dus. Cafea.
What could be improved: Se aude foarte tare galagia de pe strada. Camerele sunt mari si nu se incalzesc foarte bine.Superb – Wieslaw from Poland – 7 March 2025 (9/10)
Lokalizacja bardzo dobra ,wszędzie blisko spacerkiem
Muy buena. Lindo departamento en una linda ubicación – Natalia from Argentina – 22 February 2025 (9/10)
Era una buena ubicación. Limpio y cómodo y moderno
What could be improved: Me hubiera gustado respuesta más rápida del anfitrión. A veces ante una dificultad me contestaban que me responderían al día siguiente. Sentía que no había contacto directo con el anfitrión si no con un tercero.Exceptional – Giada from Italy – 22 April 2025 (10/10)
