Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Colosseo Living Suites? It’s tucked away on this quiet little street in Monti – Via della Polveriera – which honestly sounds more dramatic than it is. The building itself has that perfectly restored Roman elegance thing going on, where you can tell someone actually cared about preserving the original character instead of just slapping modern fixtures everywhere. I mean, you’re literally a five-minute walk from the Colosseum (hence the name, obviously), but here’s the thing most people don’t realize – you’re also right in the heart of what’s arguably Rome’s coolest neighborhood. Monti has this village-y feel that’s completely different from the touristy chaos around the major sites. There are these tiny wine bars and vintage shops scattered along the cobblestone streets, and in the evenings you’ll hear locals chatting from their balconies above the gentle hum of Vespas navigating the narrow roads.
The suites themselves are spacious in a way that’ll make you forget you’re in the center of Rome, where most hotel rooms are basically glorified closets. They’ve got this modern-meets-ancient vibe – exposed brick walls and original architectural details, but with sleek kitchenettes and bathrooms that actually work properly (trust me, this matters more than you’d think in Rome). The beds are genuinely comfortable, not just hotel-marketing comfortable, and the soundproofing is surprisingly good considering you’re in a city where people seem to have animated conversations at 2 AM. Actually, that’s one of the things I appreciated most – I could open the windows for that perfect Roman evening breeze without worrying about being woken up by delivery trucks at dawn. The staff runs the place with this relaxed professionalism that feels authentically Italian rather than corporate – they’ll give you restaurant recommendations that locals actually go to, not just the tourist traps with English menus.
What really sets this place apart though is the location’s sweet spot factor. You can walk to the Colosseum and Roman Forum before the crowds descend (seriously, go at opening time), but you’re also perfectly positioned to explore Monti’s restaurant scene – which honestly might be more memorable than the ancient ruins. There’s this fantastic little trattoria called Flavio al Velavevodetto just a few streets over where Romans actually eat, and the Saturday morning market in nearby Piazza Vittorio is where you’ll find the best produce and the kind of chaotic energy that makes Rome feel alive. The metro station at Cavour is close enough when you need it, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with constant tourist foot traffic. I stayed here in late September and the whole experience just felt right – like I was living in Rome rather than just visiting it, which I guess is exactly what they’re going for with the “Living Suites” concept.

I highly recommend this apartment to everyone who is planning to spend sometime in Rome. The apartment was clean, good looking and very close to all monuments.
After our arrival we noticed that croissants and various snacks were prepared for us on the table, coffee tablets were next to the coffeemaker as well.
Me and my daughters were really happy with this accomodation and in case we go to Rome in the future, we will definitely choose this place for stay again.
