Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Colosseo Flats and Penthouse? It’s tucked away on Via della Polveriera in a way that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something the tour groups haven’t figured out yet. I mean, you’re literally in Monti – which honestly is Rome’s coolest neighborhood right now – but the street itself is quiet enough that you can actually sleep with the windows open (trust me on this, it matters in Rome).
The building has this wonderful lived-in Italian feel without being shabby, if that makes sense. The flats themselves are spacious in that rare Roman way where you’re not bumping into furniture every time you turn around. I particularly loved how they’ve kept some of the original architectural details – the kind of stuff that reminds you you’re staying in a real Roman building, not some sanitized hotel chain. The penthouse option is honestly spectacular if you can swing it, though even the regular flats have plenty of character. What really gets me is the location intelligence here – you’re a five-minute walk from the Colosseum (obviously), but more importantly, you’re surrounded by actual Roman life. There’s this little bakery around the corner on Via del Boschetto that does cornetti that’ll ruin you for airport pastries forever, and the evening aperitivo scene on Via Panisperna is just… *chef’s kiss*.
The practical stuff matters too, and this is where the place really shines. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no hovering in lobbies or weird key card drama. The WiFi actually works (I know, revolutionary), and there’s decent water pressure, which anyone who’s stayed in historic Roman buildings will appreciate. Parking is typical Rome nightmare territory, but honestly, you don’t need a car here anyway. The Cavour metro stop is right there when you need to venture further out, but most days you’ll just walk everywhere. I should mention – and this is important – the noise levels are remarkably reasonable for central Rome. Sure, you’ll hear some street life, but it’s more charming Roman daily sounds than honking chaos. The place gets busy during peak season obviously, but even then it maintains this relaxed, residential vibe that makes you feel less like a tourist and more like you’re just temporarily living in Rome. Which, honestly, is exactly what you want.

The location can’t be beat just steps from the coliseum and next door to several restaurants.

Amazing 2BDR flat, in the heart of Rome and located on quiet street meantime🔝
The apartment exceeded our expectations, it was clean, modern, and spacious. We're 2 adults and 2 teenagers – there was enough space for all of us to feel comfortable. There is an elevator in the building, several cafeterias on the street and the most important – the Coloseo is just around the corner. We really loved the fact that could enjoy the stunning views of the Coloseo day and night.
You could have a dinner nearby – there are a lot of great places 5-10 mins walk from the flat.
The host was very kind and cooperative, everything needed was discussed and confirmed in a timely manner. Highly recommend 👌 Will be happy to stay at the same place once come back to Rome 💗Georgi from Bulgaria (10/10)

Great communication when arriving, cafe just downstairs as well as a really nice restaurant and not to mention the Colosseum is only a minute walk away. Apartment was really modern and clean with a decent size fridge and cutlery. Everything was made really easy for us and we had a great stay.

Great location, elevator for luggage, clean
Traveled with 7 fit comfortably . Only thing to improve more mirrors for larger group getting ready after showering . Had 5 .. 20 years girls 🤣 overall great spot loved having cafe right on our street .Wendy from United States (8/10)
I loved the terrace and the location was so close to the Colosseum and to many restaurants and pubs. I loved also how it was not in the center of where fountain of Trevi was or Vatican City. Those areas are too busy for our family It was a great place to rest after a day of sightseeing but then easy to rally and go out locally for the night.
