Colonna Suite Del Corso Overview
You know what hit me first about Colonna Suite Del Corso? The address. Via Della Colonna Antonina – I mean, you’re literally staying next to Marcus Aurelius’s column, which honestly feels a bit surreal when you’re dragging your suitcase down these ancient cobblestones at 2 PM with the Roman sun beating down on you.
The thing about this place is that it sits right in that sweet spot where tourists haven’t completely taken over yet, but you’re still walking distance from everything that matters. I’m talking three minutes to the Pantheon (and I actually timed it because I’m weird like that), but you’re on this quieter street where you can actually hear yourself think. Well, mostly quiet – there’s still the occasional Vespa at 7 AM, but honestly, that’s just Rome being Rome. The building itself has that classic Roman elegance thing going on, though it’s not trying too hard to be fancy. It’s more like… comfortable sophistication? The kind of place where you don’t feel underdressed in your travel clothes, but you also wouldn’t be embarrassed to bring someone you’re trying to impress.
Here’s what I really appreciated – the rooms actually feel like suites, not just hotel rooms with a fancy name. The space flows nicely, and there’s enough room to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase for a week. The bathrooms are solid (good water pressure, which you can’t always count on in historic Roman buildings), and the AC works properly, which is absolutely crucial if you’re visiting between June and September. I mean, Rome in summer is beautiful but brutal. The staff knows their stuff too – they gave me restaurant recommendations that weren’t just the obvious tourist traps, including this little place around the corner on Via del Corso where the locals actually eat. Check-in was smooth, no drama, though I’d suggest arriving after 3 PM because they seem to need that buffer time between guests.
Location-wise, you’re right in the heart of things without being in the middle of the chaos. Campo de’ Fiori is a quick walk for morning coffee (avoid the evening crowd unless you’re into that scene), and you can easily walk to Piazza Navona, the Spanish Steps, or even the Colosseum if you don’t mind a 20-minute stroll. The Pantheon being so close is actually kind of magical – I found myself popping over there at different times of day just because I could. Early morning is best, by the way, before the tour groups descend. The 8.1 rating feels about right – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it’s genuinely good at what it does. Four stars that actually feel like four stars, if that makes sense. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I wanted to feel like I was living in Rome rather than just visiting it.

Reviews of Colonna Suite Del Corso
Great hotel, would recommend and stay there again – Ryan from United States – 10 May 2025 (8/10)
Hotel was a great location to walk to every attraction you would want to, staff was extremely friendly and helpful, easily identifiable to find at night, off a side street and very quiet at night.
What could be improved: shower/tub setup was fine, but the glass shower wall did nothing and water literally sprays all over the floors and soaks the towels – hot showers will also make everything moist in the bathroomStill a comfortable spot and the staff were helpful. – Kim from Australia – 12 October 2024 (9/10)
Nice and close to restaurants and Trevi fountain
What could be improved: The shower set up was a bit dark and dinge!Very good – Allblacksno1 from Malta – 13 December 2023 (8/10)
Very central and the room though simple had everything, even a frigo bar. They even provided some milk for the tea in the room
What could be improved: Just a very small issue, they could refill the frigo bar on a daily basis. We consumed the drinks on the first day and they didn't refill.Superb – Steven from United Kingdom – 25 July 2023 (9/10)
Nice rooms with air con
Friendly helpful staffGreat location and good value. – Steve from United States – 16 July 2023 (7/10)
Location great! Easy walk to Trevi Fountain and Pantheon. Good value.
What could be improved: Rooms are small, but we knew that.Excellent location, hopefully you sleep like a log? – Claudia from Australia – 31 May 2023 (7/10)
PERFECT location, lovely and helpful staff, exceptionally clean and attention to detail
What could be improved: very loud! we stayed here for 4 nights and got woken up 3 out of 4 because of loud guests coming back into the hotel in the early hours of the morning with no consideration of others. I mean shouting in the hallway and all. you can hear everything so that was a shame, I understand this wasn’t the hotel staff fault, however it did result in very uncomfortable sleep.Great stay! – Gavl23 from Ireland – 14 May 2023 (8/10)
Location was incredible – stones throw to both the Trevi fountain and the Pantheon. The room and bed were extremely comfortable and sound proofing to the street was excellent.
What could be improved: Not a hotel you spend more time in than sleeping and getting ready to explore, as it is very tight on space!Perfect location – Niko from Finland – 20 April 2023 (9/10)
Staff was helpfull, location was perfect (about 15min walk to Termini and colosseum, <5min to Phanteon) we also walk to Vatican (30min). Roomservice do their job perfect.
What could be improved: Breakfast was bit thin. They could offer gluten free options and more protein sources. Because of this we didint take breakfast optionVery good – Lisa from United Kingdom – 10 April 2023 (8/10)
Lovely hotel, brilliant location, friendly staff
Great hotel in a great area with great customer service – Joseymi from United States – 9 January 2023 (9/10)
It was in a great area. Not a far walk from major attractions. The staff was very nice
What could be improved: The room was a little smaller than I thought but that’s not their fault.
