Claudio My House Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Claudio My House on Via Cola di Rienzo, you immediately get the sense that this isn’t your typical hotel — it feels more like staying at a well-connected friend’s place in the heart of Rome. The building itself has that classic Roman elegance without being stuffy, and honestly, the location hit me right away. You’re literally surrounded by everything that makes this part of the city so appealing to locals and visitors alike.

The Prati Neighborhood Advantage

Here’s what I love about staying in Prati — you get all the Roman atmosphere without the tourist chaos that can overwhelm other areas. Via Cola di Rienzo is actually one of Rome’s best shopping streets, so you’ll find everything from local cafes to boutiques right outside your door. The Vatican is close enough that you can walk there in about ten minutes, but far enough that you’re not dealing with tour groups at breakfast. I mean, when couples are rating this place so highly for romantic getaways, that tells you something about the vibe here.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in felt thoughtfully designed — not flashy, but everything worked perfectly and the attention to detail was obvious. What struck me most was how quiet it was, considering you’re on a busy street. The furnishings have that Italian sense of style that feels effortless, and there’s enough space to actually unpack and settle in. You know what really impressed me? The way natural light fills the space during the day, making it feel much larger than it actually is.

Getting Around and Daily Life

The metro connection at Lepanto is literally a few minutes’ walk away, which makes exploring other parts of Rome incredibly easy. But honestly, I found myself walking most places because this four-star property puts you within reach of so much. The morning routine became grabbing coffee at one of the local bars nearby — and I’m talking about the kind of places where Romans actually go, not tourist traps. There’s also a decent supermarket close by if you want to pick up snacks or water bottles without paying hotel prices.

Why Guests Love It

That 9.7 rating isn’t just numbers — it reflects how this place gets the balance right between comfort and location. You’re staying somewhere that feels authentically Roman while having all the modern conveniences you need. The staff clearly knows the neighborhood well and can point you toward experiences that feel genuine rather than scripted. For couples especially, there’s something about the combination of the elegant surroundings and the walkable neighborhood that creates the perfect setting for exploring Rome together. It’s the kind of place where you end up planning your next visit before you’ve even checked out.

Apartments in Rome suit remote creatives with Juliet balconies, high-speed Wi-Fi, and espresso corners.

Reviews of Claudio My House

  • Syed from Canada (10/10)

Great location, spacious and comfortable for a family of four

  • Ionela from Romania (10/10)

Very nice! The rooms are clean and nice, the host is very kind, and the apartment is close to center!

  • Christian from Australia (10/10)

The apartment was very spacious, and a genuine 3 bedroom & 2 bathrooms. There was a lift after a few little steps up to the first floor. Claudio accommodated our late check in well, was a gentleman and even dropped off some treats which was a very nice touch. The apartment was clean although it does get dusty pretty easily. Thankfully a vacuum cleaner was at hand. The location was good, situated on the main road with plenty of shops, restaurants & cafes. It is also walking distance to the Vatican & St Angelo. You can definitely walk to Via del Corso by going through Piazza del Popolo (most northern point of the street) with other shorter ways available.
There was a washer/ dryer combo machine that worked well in the kitchen among other cooking facilities.
All in all an excellent stay for our first time in Prati and will consider it again as you're out of the hustle and surrounded by locals not tourists.

  • Ahmed from United Arab Emirates (10/10)

Vast, clean, amenities, on lively street

  • Kim from United States (10/10)

The house was spacious, modern and had a lot of amenities (including A/C). The owner made sure we felt comfortable and communicated quickly. We had visited other family's rentals while in Rome and were so pleased that we found this treasure.

  • Masimba from Australia (10/10)

Claudio was the ultimate host, and his place is one of the best places we have ever stayed. He was always attentive to every need we had during our stay. The place was right in the middle of the city but somehow the rooms are sound proofed and so quiet we were able to sleep soundly.
The check in was flawless and the property felt very secure.
Claudio was so kind to book a taxi for us on departure and saved us €50 in taxi fares.
Will definitely use this place if ever come back to Rome in the future.
    Thanks again Claudio!

Location – Shopping – Restaurants – Owner – Air Conditioning

  • Natalie from United States (9/10)

Lots of space for our family, comfortable beds, grocery and restaurants near by, washing machine was a great amenity. Owner is attentive, answered our questions quickly. Access to metro about a 5 minute walk. Vatican about 10-12 minute walk. A bit of a longer walk to historic center, using metro helps.

  • Enriquez from United States (10/10)

Claudio was great at communicating since the booking. He welcomed us upon arrival, provided suggestions on transportation, gave us a tour of the apartment, provided some delicious local dessert, and helped with our luggage. The property had all that we needed to enjoy our stay in Rome: quick walk to the supermarket, restaurants, places of interest near the Vatican. The washer/ dryer was convenient and very helpful.
