Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about CasAlice Apartments Roma Trevi? The street it’s on – Via di Sant’Andrea delle Fratte – is one of those perfectly Roman contradictions. It’s tucked away enough that you feel like you’ve discovered something, but honestly, you’re maybe a three-minute walk from the Trevi Fountain chaos. I mean, we’re talking about stumbling distance from one of the most tourist-packed spots in Rome, yet the moment you turn onto this little street, it’s like someone hit the volume button down.
The building itself has that slightly worn Roman elegance thing going on – you know, the kind where the marble steps are polished smooth from centuries of foot traffic, and the elevator is one of those tiny European boxes that makes you reconsider packing that extra pair of shoes. But here’s the thing about the apartments: they actually feel like apartments, not hotel rooms pretending to be something they’re not. The kitchenettes are small but functional (I managed to make decent coffee every morning, which is saying something), and the bathrooms have proper water pressure – honestly, after a day of walking around Rome in August, that shower felt like a minor miracle. The air conditioning works well too, though it’s a bit loud at night… but then again, you’re in the heart of Rome, so there’s always some ambient city noise anyway.
What really makes this place work is the location intelligence behind it. Sure, everyone talks about being near the Trevi Fountain, but what they don’t mention is that you’re also a quick walk to Via del Corso for shopping, and – this is key – you’re positioned perfectly to duck into the quieter streets around Piazza di Spagna when the crowds get overwhelming. There’s this little alimentari around the corner where the owner barely speaks English but somehow always knows exactly what you need, and a decent gelato place that doesn’t have the tourist markup you’ll find closer to the fountain. The area gets busy during peak fountain hours (basically sunset through late evening), but mornings are surprisingly peaceful – you can actually hear the fountain from some of the rooms, which is either romantic or annoying depending on your perspective and how much wine you had the night before. Check-in was straightforward, though the front desk isn’t staffed 24/7, so don’t expect to roll in at 2 AM without planning ahead. For what you’re paying and where you’re staying, though, it’s honestly hard to complain about much.

Superb – Danielle from United Kingdom – 18 June 2025 (9/10)
The air con was a must with the very hot temperatures outside and it worked great. Communication with the host was great. As soon as I sent a message, i have a quick response. The host was more than helpful. 5 stars for hospitality. Appartment was also within walking distance of most main attractions.
What could be improved: The appartment was great but if I had to change something I would say the bathroom could do with being updated. It was clean but could just do with an upgrade.Good Value Great Location – John from United States – 24 May 2025 (10/10)

Very large spacious apartment. Two fully equipped bathrooms. Kitchen had everything you needed to cook, including some essentials like oil, salt and sugar. Coffee machine also in apartment and a full size fridge/freezer.
Bed was comfortable and there were two air-conditioners in the apartment that worked very well. There was also an elevator up to the floor which was very helpful with our bags.
