So here is the skinny on the apartment. In one word…. perfect. It was exactly what I wanted and was looking for. The location was ideal for my trip and it was easy to get around from where I was. It was very spacious and enough room to easily fit two couples or a couple and 2 kids that would share a bed. Admittedly, it is dated but it's Ancient Rome folks…… everything is dated and it is Europe. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the evenings are very quiet in the area. That said, if you take a siesta or go to bed at 9pm (which no one does in Rome), the main bed is close to the street and it could be considered noisy. After 10:30ish the area closes down pretty quickly. All that said, I did take a siesta during the day and had no issue when I closed the windows. The reality is if they put some money into the place to "update" it, they could easily charge 5x as much. So much so it got be thinking about buying places in Rome to do the same. Yes, I am serious.
And btw….. Carla, my host, is absolutely wonderful! She was willing to help at any turn.Julieta from Italy (10/10)
