Hotel Description

You know what surprised me about c-hotels Fiume? The moment I walked in, it felt like someone actually thought about what travelers need – not just what looks good in photos. The lobby has this clean, modern vibe without being sterile, and honestly, the staff seemed genuinely happy to see guests, which isn’t always a given in Rome.

The location on Via Brescia is actually perfect if you know Rome a bit. You’re in Parioli, which means you’re away from the tourist chaos but still totally connected. There’s a Metro B stop (Sant’Agnese/Annibaliano) about a 7-minute walk away, and I mean, once you’re on that line, you’re at the Colosseum in maybe 15 minutes. But here’s the thing – the neighborhood itself is worth exploring. Real Romans live here, so you’ve got proper cafés where they know how to make coffee, and there’s this great morning market on Saturdays that most tourists never find. The hotel sits on a quiet residential street, so you actually get to sleep at night (revolutionary concept, I know), but walk five minutes toward Via Salaria and you’re in the thick of things.

What really won me over was the attention to detail. The rooms aren’t huge – this is Rome, after all – but they’re smartly designed. Good lighting for actually reading, decent Wi-Fi that doesn’t cut out every ten minutes, and the beds are legitimately comfortable. The bathroom products don’t smell like industrial disinfectant, which is more rare than it should be. I stayed on the fourth floor and had this little balcony overlooking the street – nothing fancy, but perfect for morning coffee while watching the neighborhood wake up. The breakfast spread is solid too, with actual Italian pastries instead of the sad hotel croissants you get some places. They do a proper espresso bar, and the guy working it in the mornings (Marco, I think?) makes a mean cappuccino.

Parking can be tricky in this area – well, parking’s tricky everywhere in Rome – but they’ve got a garage situation sorted if you’re driving. The front desk helped me figure out the local bus routes, which was clutch because sometimes the Metro gets packed during rush hour. One small thing that bugged me was the elevator – it’s one of those tiny European ones that fits maybe two people and a suitcase, but honestly, that’s pretty standard for Rome hotels that aren’t massive chains.

The 9.2 rating makes sense once you’ve stayed here. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in the city, but it gets the fundamentals right while giving you a real sense of Roman neighborhood life. If you want to be steps from the Trevi Fountain, this isn’t your spot. But if you want to stay somewhere that feels authentic, where you can walk to great restaurants that aren’t tourist traps, and where you can actually relax after a day of sightseeing – this works. Plus, the value is solid for what you get, especially considering Rome’s hotel prices these days.

Reviews

  • Will recommend to friends and family – Kowalski from Belgium – 2 July 2025 (10/10)

    Great location, clean, air conditioning

What could be improved: I didn’t know I would have to ring the door after a late night

  • Perfecto! – Madeline from United Kingdom – 23 June 2025 (10/10)

    Lovely hotel and good staff

  • Superb – Kamini from Australia – 22 June 2025 (9/10)

The staff were amazing – absolutely lovely people!

What could be improved: A little bit outside of the city centre. Not a big deal, but keep this in mind. The TV was older too and not a lot of the channels worked.

  • Exceptional – Talal from Saudi Arabia – 14 June 2025 (10/10)

    Everything was good

  • I loved my stay, I arrived late and left early the next day. It was the perfect place to spend a night! – Taylor from United States – 2 June 2025 (10/10)

Very kind, attentive staff and a comfortable and clean room.

    What could be improved: Nothing!

  • Exceptional – Roberto from Italy – 29 May 2025 (10/10)

Service, people warmness and politeness. Special mention to Simone

  • Charming stay at Fiume Hotel with excellent service – Zeev from Israel – 28 May 2025 (9/10)

The Fiume Hotel has a charming, old-world character with spacious rooms that feel refreshingly different from modern chain hotels. The atmosphere is peaceful and quiet, which was perfect for relaxing after long days exploring the city.
The breakfast was excellent with a good variety of options to choose from.
The staff truly made our stay special – the service was outstanding and room service was impressively quick. Special thanks to Simone who went above and beyond to help us change rooms, and to Alex for his wonderful service and attention to detail throughout our stay.
The location is fantastic (although not very close to the main tourist attractions) with numerous excellent restaurants within walking distance. While parking costs €25, it's only a 5-minute walk from the hotel, which is quite convenient for Rome. A nice bonus was the complimentary minibar in the room.
Room tip: Definitely request one of the three terrace rooms on the 5th floor if available – they offer both shared and private outdoor spaces that are worth it for the relaxing atmosphere.

What could be improved: The breakfast buffet could benefit from more fresh vegetable options. Also worth noting that not all rooms have handheld shower attachments, so you may want to specify this preference when booking if it's important to you.

  • Exceptional – Alexey from Switzerland – 21 May 2025 (10/10)

The staff were fantastic, very attentive to all our needs. The small birthday gift was also very heartwarming.

What could be improved: The linen fragrance was very strong; please consider some milder or fragrance-free options.

  • Delightful stay (our third in this hotel!) – Clare from United Kingdom – 21 May 2025 (9/10)

Staff, all so helpful & polite

What could be improved: Would have liked rather more storage space in our room

  • Excellent stay, lovely hotel , staff make you feel special, easy access to city centre via bus. – Omar from United Kingdom – 9 May 2025 (10/10)

Friendly and helpful staff, lovely room, nice balcony.

What could be improved: Apparently hair dryer wasnt great
