Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about c-hotels Club House Roma? It’s tucked away on Via Andrea Alciato in the Aurelio district, and I mean really tucked away – this isn’t one of those places you stumble upon while wandering around the Colosseum. But honestly, that’s exactly why I ended up loving it. The Aurelio neighborhood has this lived-in Roman feel that most tourists never experience, with actual locals doing their grocery shopping and kids playing in the small parks nearby. The hotel itself sits in what feels like a quiet residential pocket, which means you’re getting proper sleep without the constant hum of tour buses and late-night gelato seekers that plague the city center.
The building has this sort of understated elegance – it’s clearly a 4-star property, but not in that flashy, trying-too-hard way. When I walked into the lobby, there was this subtle mix of contemporary design with just enough Italian flair to remind you where you are, without beating you over the head with it. The staff actually seemed to know the neighborhood well, not just the major tourist spots, which came in handy when I needed to find a decent coffee place early in the morning (there’s a fantastic little bar about three blocks down that opens at 6 AM, by the way). The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid 4-star – clean, comfortable, with that European attention to detail in the bathroom fixtures and linens. Nothing groundbreaking, but everything works properly, and the beds are actually good, not just acceptable.
What really won me over was the location’s practicality once you figure it out. Sure, you’re not walking to the Pantheon, but the metro connections are surprisingly solid – the Cornelia station isn’t too far, and from there you can get pretty much anywhere in Rome without dealing with the chaos of staying right in the thick of things. I found myself appreciating the ritual of heading into the city center during the day, then retreating back to this quieter area in the evenings. There’s something to be said for experiencing Rome like that – getting your dose of ancient history and tourist energy, then coming back to a neighborhood where you can grab dinner at a family-run trattoria without paying tourist prices. The hotel seems to attract a mix of business travelers and smart tourists who’ve figured out that staying slightly off the beaten path doesn’t mean sacrificing comfort. With an 8.9 rating, it’s clearly hitting the right notes for most people, and I can see why – it’s the kind of place that doesn’t try to be everything to everyone, just does the fundamentals really well in a part of Rome that feels authentic.

Reviews
Lovely small hotel, bad location. – Sebastian from Malta – 23 June 2025 (8/10)
The rome was small but it had everything, good bathroom and a balcony.
What could be improved: In the description they state that the metro station is 100meters away from the Hotel. This is factually untrue, it is more 700 meters away from the hotel and in the summer months, you don’t want to be walking 8minutes (at least) in the scorching heat (34C in my case) ! So the hotel is all good and well but I feel they deceived me because the selling point for me was 100meters to the station, which would have been greatExceptional – Joshua from Australia – 20 June 2025 (10/10)
Great setup. Lovely room. Would definitely stay again.
The location is to close everywhere.Close to the metro about 7 minutes. – Patricia from United Kingdom – 15 June 2025 (8/10)
The staff are very friendly and helpful
The bar is free everyday.
They very welcome.
Love the pasta they gave to us to bring home.
What could be improved: The space in front the bed and tv is so close.
Needs more space for put the clothes.Exceptional – Lucas from Brazil – 14 June 2025 (10/10)
new, clean, warm staff. It is not close to the tourist attractions but in 15-20 minutes on the subway you can reach all of them and the hotel is much better than those that are close to the attractions.
good value for money and location – Tiziano from France – 12 June 2025 (8/10)
very comfortable, cozy hotel, friendly staff
What could be improved: the bathroom space (although functional) was a little crampedOverall good value for the money. Clean and nicely equipped room close to metro station. – Rong from Denmark – 6 June 2025 (8/10)
The location is close to a metro station with walking distance. The room is clean and nicely renovated. I especially liked the sunny balcony.
What could be improved: The location is too far from the city center and it takes about 35 minutes to get to Termini. The fridge-like appliance is not a fridge with cooling function and we only found out after buying food that needs cooling storage. But the staff at the bar were nice to store our food. The blanket structure is weird with the duvet in between 2 sheets. It is hard to use in sleep and easily gets messy. But this might be a common Italian thing so it’s not hotel-specific.Very nice hotel – Kussay from United States – 5 June 2025 (9/10)
Everything
What could be improved: NothingLovely place to stay.I was gifted some raw pasta as a parting gesture, would definitely stay here aga – Baks from United Kingdom – 29 May 2025 (10/10)
It's conveniently located near restaurants, shops, and, most importantly, the Metro
What could be improved: The lift can only accommodate 2 to 3 people without luggage, and it's uncomfortably tight with three people almost like you're breathing in each other's space."Superb – Chacón from Colombia – 29 May 2025 (9/10)
The hotel was nice, the staff very friendly. Clean and looks just like the pictures.
What could be improved: The breakfast was not included and was very expensive 19 euros per person per day. Its cheaper to eat outside.Wonderful stay – Ben from Switzerland – 27 May 2025 (10/10)
Fantastic staff, super clean room with everything you need.
What could be improved: The room was compact but fine for 2 nights. It wouldn't work well with Big suitcases.
