Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be straight with you about B&S Suite Colosseo – it’s one of those places that surprises you in the best way possible. When I first walked up Via Caprareccia (honestly, I butchered the pronunciation for weeks), I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star spot. But you know what? Sometimes the smaller places get it right where the big chains miss the mark completely.
The location is actually brilliant if you know Rome at all. You’re tucked into Rione Monti, which – and I can’t stress this enough – is where you want to be if you’re tired of tourist traps but still want to walk to everything that matters. The Colosseum is literally a 5-minute stroll, but more importantly, you’re surrounded by these tiny wine bars and family-run trattorias that locals actually frequent. There’s this little bakery around the corner on Via dei Serpenti that does cornetti in the morning, and honestly, it became my daily ritual. The area gets quiet after 10 PM, which means you’ll actually sleep (unlike some places near Termini where the sirens never stop).
What really won me over was how the staff treated the place – I mean, it felt like they actually cared rather than just going through the motions. The suites themselves are clean and functional, nothing fancy but everything works. The shower pressure is decent, the AC doesn’t sound like a helicopter, and there’s enough space to actually unpack your suitcase without playing Tetris with your belongings. Sure, the decor isn’t going to win any design awards, but it’s comfortable in that unpretentious way that lets you focus on exploring Rome instead of Instagram-ing your room. The 7.6 rating makes sense – it’s not trying to be something it’s not, but it delivers on what matters. Parking is tricky if you’re driving (like everywhere in central Rome), but you’re so well-connected by metro and bus that you honestly don’t need a car anyway. Plus, the morning light streaming through those tall Roman windows while you’re having your espresso and planning your day? That’s the kind of detail that makes a trip memorable, even if it sounds cheesy. If you want luxury, look elsewhere, but if you want a solid base in one of Rome’s most authentic neighborhoods without breaking the bank, this place gets it right.

Reviews
Very good – Marina from Spain – 17 October 2024 (8/10)
The location was incredible, very easy walk to the main touristic points. The beds were comfy even the pull out couch. The communication with our host was also great, they were very responsive and even offered to come by to check out the oven which wasn't working.
What could be improved: The bathroom was very small for 4 people and was constantly leaking, we couldnt tell where it was coming from, and so the entire bathroom floor was just wet the entire time. The oven also didnt work and the walls were very thin so we heard drunk neighbours come home which woke us up. Lastly, it was unclear through the photos that the bedroom didnt have a door, so its more of a studio layout which was a bit awkward as we were hoping for more privacy.Very good – Stephania from Curaçao – 10 June 2024 (8/10)
Great location, the hostel is cool and modern
What could be improved: If you book a private room for family they don’t give you bath towels, they told you, you have to pay extra for them.Great location – Christine from United Kingdom – 7 November 2023 (9/10)
Excellent location, everything within walking distance – didn't use the metro once. Large comfy bed.
Excellent – Aykan from Turkey – 2 October 2023 (9/10)
Well equipped house. Clean and good location.
What could be improved: There is nothing that I don’t like.Really good price for its location. – Muhammad from Singapore – 12 July 2023 (8/10)
The location is really good and the host is accomadating.
What could be improved: Lack of toilet paper and no light in the shower.don't pay attention to the little things – Дона from Bulgaria – 10 March 2023 (9/10)
The location of the apartment was very good. 15 min from Fontana di Trevi, Colosseum, Piazza Venezia. Two minutes to Santa Maria Maggiore.
Right next to the apartment there was a supermarket from which you could buy everything you needed for breakfast/lunch/dinner, if you decided to cook in the apartment or for a quick snack. There was also restaurants, gelateria, bakeries near the apartment. The apartment was comfortable for 4 people. The Sofa was also comfortable for sleeping. The communication with the host was perfect and he was quick to answer our questions and give us advice.
What could be improved: The hot water in the bathroom was running out too fast and not enough for 4 people to take a shower or have a normal bath within 2 hours. The bathroom siphon was clogged, and water was overflowing everywhere while showering and the shower itself was broken. Not to mention there was no hot water in the kitchen at all. It was very dark in the apartment. Even the little time you spent in there, the lack of light made an impression on you. There were 3/4 lamps that didn't light up. The hot water jug, coffee pot, oven trays, pots were dirty. But most importantly, there was a corkscrew, which we actually needed the most, and the location of the apartment was so good that we didn't pay attention to the little things.very good location and it was very clean. the auxiliary bed is very uncomfortable you can not rest – Gipsy from Colombia – 22 October 2022 (8/10)
The property location was very good, it is close to main important places on Rome. the neighborhood has restaurants and markets. also the communication with the owner was fluent and he helps us with important information.
What could be improved: the auxiliary bed is very uncomfortable and is not entirely in good condition, the people who sleep there cannot rest well.Good – Monica from Spain – 5 September 2022 (7/10)
Everything was pretty good but overall the location of the property .
We enjoyed our stay very much and would highly recommend this property to friends and family. – Victoria from Morocco – 24 July 2022 (9/10)
The location was fabulous. We particularly like the street Via Urbana. Lots of very nice shops, cafes restaurants and a very convenient supermarket.
What could be improved: The only thing that could have been better was the shower in the apartment. The water pressure wasn’t great.Very happy and would definitely stay here again. – Justin from United States – 13 July 2022 (8/10)
It was close to the colosseum and some good restaurants, definitely go to Trieste pizza. The room had good AC, wifi and an easy walk to many sights.
What could be improved: The neighborhood was fine, but was a little dirty and a homeless guy was living in the alley behind the room.
