Hotel Description

Look, I’ve walked past Boutique Hotel Anahi probably a dozen times before I actually stayed there – it’s tucked into Via della Penna in a way that makes it feel like a local secret, even though you’re literally a five-minute walk from the Piazza del Popolo chaos. The building itself has that understated Roman elegance thing going on, you know? Not flashy, but when you step inside, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually cared about the details.

What really got me was how quiet it stays despite being in the heart of Spagna. I mean, you’re close enough to hear the occasional Vespa buzz by, but honestly, that’s just Rome’s lullaby at this point. The rooms have this boutique feel without trying too hard – think clean lines, decent lighting (thank god, because so many Roman hotels seem to think one dim bulb creates “atmosphere”), and beds that actually let you sleep well after walking 20,000 steps around the city. The bathrooms are compact but functional, and the water pressure is surprisingly good for a 3-star place in this part of town. I stayed there during shoulder season in October, and the staff seemed genuinely happy to help with restaurant recommendations rather than just handing you a generic tourist map.

Here’s what I really appreciated – you can walk to Villa Borghese in about ten minutes when you need to escape the crowds, but you’re also positioned perfectly for those early morning coffee runs to the bars around Via del Corso before the tourist buses arrive. The neighborhood has this residential feel in the evenings, especially if you wander toward the Tiber, where locals actually hang out. Parking is nonexistent (obviously, it’s Rome), but the Flaminio metro stop is close enough that you don’t feel stranded. Check-in was smooth, no weird surprises with tourist taxes or hidden fees, and they actually stored my luggage without making it seem like a massive favor. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re staying in Rome rather than just visiting it, if that makes sense. The 8.4 rating feels about right – not perfect, but solidly good with enough character to make you remember why you picked a boutique place over some chain hotel near Termini.

  • Very cozy, clean and well located! – Asmita from Switzerland – 30 December 2024 (9/10)

Very charming property. 24 hours reception which is good for people arriving late or very early.
Great location, very close to the shopping street and located by the river. Clean room, spacious, and cozy.

What could be improved: For people with a light sleep, the walls and floors are thin, so you will hear people talking and walking around. I didn’t mind , so the quality of my stay was not impacted by that.

  • Excellent and family friendly – Joy from United Arab Emirates – 27 December 2024 (9/10)

  • I loved this hotel. There was the minimum incident with the AC but overall is a great hotel in the centered but not chao – Milanka from Peru – 31 March 2024 (9/10)

It is located in a quite but centered place in Rome near everything and convenient if you want to hire a taxi as well but walking distances are convenient from the hotel as well

What could be improved: The only thing I struggled with was the AC. The hotel room is nice and warm bit during my stay Rome was kinda hot and I couldn’t really understand completely how the AC worked so at night I had to open the windows
