Hotel Description
Look, I’ve stayed at my share of Roman hotels, and Booking Inn Settembre 95 honestly surprised me in the best way. You know that feeling when you’re expecting something pretty standard and then – well, it’s actually thoughtful? That’s this place. It sits right on Via Venti Settembre, which sounds fancy but is really just this perfectly normal residential street that happens to put you walking distance from basically everything you’d want to see. I mean, Termini Station is maybe ten minutes if you’re dragging luggage, and you can hit the Trevi Fountain in about fifteen if you cut through the side streets (which you should, because the main routes are tourist chaos).
The building itself has that classic Roman thing going on – you know, where the exterior looks like it’s been there forever but inside they’ve actually updated things without going overboard. My room was on the third floor, and honestly, I was expecting tiny European hotel room vibes, but there was actual space to open a suitcase without doing gymnastics around the bed. The bathroom was surprisingly modern too, with one of those rainfall showers that actually has decent water pressure – not always a given in Rome, trust me. What really got me though was the attention to small stuff. Like, they had proper blackout curtains (essential if you’re jet-lagged), and the air conditioning actually worked quietly. I’ve stayed places where the AC sounds like a helicopter landing all night.
The neighborhood is what really makes this place work. Via Venti Settembre isn’t touristy at all – it’s where actual Romans live and work. There’s this little cafe two doors down where the barista started recognizing me by day three, and the evening passeggiata happens right outside your window if you’re into people-watching. You’re also really close to Villa Borghese if you need to escape the city intensity for a bit. The only thing I’d mention is that being on a residential street means it gets properly quiet at night, which is amazing for sleeping but also means you can’t stumble back from dinner at 2 AM making noise – the neighbors will definitely let you know if you’re being obnoxious. Check-in was smooth, the front desk guy spoke perfect English and actually gave me useful restaurant recommendations (not just the touristy spots), and when I needed to store my bags after checkout, they handled it without any fuss. For a four-star place, it doesn’t try too hard to be fancy – it just does the basics really well and throws in enough thoughtful touches that you feel like someone actually cares about your stay.

Very good – Mariana from Mexico – 4 June 2025 (8/10)
Really central, very good support from the staff, very clean. They were giving biscuits and pastries as courtesy.
What could be improved: It is an old building so the facilities are not the best, the toilet was making noises the whole night.Good – Snezhana from Ukraine – 7 May 2025 (7/10)
there were snacks, delicious coffee, good staff
What could be improved: Wi-Fi works very poorlySuperb – Shaun from New Zealand – 2 May 2025 (9/10)
Close to central Rome, plenty of restaurants, mini markets, pharmacies and up market shops
What could be improved: Only fridge, microwave in common kitchen,Very good – Samih from Jordan – 13 April 2025 (8/10)
The location was excellent—just a short walk with easy access to public transportation.
The apartment was spotlessGood – Elsayed from Egypt – 4 February 2025 (7/10)
Location, service room is an excellent idea as it gave me freedom to use my laptop or have coffee while my family was sleeping, everyday they put snacks and coffee, they clean every day and the view was very good
What could be improved: Room sizeSuperb – Vanessa from Brazil – 23 October 2024 (9/10)
Location is amazing and the chek-in/check-out system is super easy and intuitive. The host was super nice in wpp, indicating local places to eat and visit.
What could be improved: Kitchen needs improvement.A decent base for days out and very helpful host. – Jessica from United Kingdom – 3 August 2024 (7/10)
The communication with the owner was brilliant. Very attentive and helpful, the owner gave me some recommendations for local eating spots, at my request, as well as printing some tickets I needed. Very clear instructions about how to access the property. 15 minute walk from the station. Close to transport links into the centre. Walkable too in an emergency! Building felt very secure. Access to a fridge and basic cooking facilities. Very popular ice cream spot nearby.
What could be improved: A bit small for three of us. Electric sockets difficult to add a UK adapter to. Lack of bedside tables and lamps meant you had to stumble into bed in the dark once lights out. Massive wardrobe taking up too much space, unnecessary.Amazing and worthy place to stay – Angie from Netherlands – 31 July 2024 (9/10)
I love the kindness and how the staff accommodated to the needs. They kept our luggage for free and easy, we have new cleaning stuff and free coffee, water and snacks everyday and they cleaned the room everyday and you can go walking everywhere from here. It was a very pleasing stay and we highly recommend this place.
Superb – Hamdani from United States – 3 July 2024 (9/10)
"The staff at the hotel are wonderful and responsive."
What could be improved: "And the responsible employee said it was because the bathroom was for sanitary purposes, but we didn't need any care and didn't request it."It’s near almost everything and you can go by walking to every place that you need to see in Rome 😁 – Ulpiane from Albania – 9 May 2024 (9/10)
The location is perfect!
