Located at Via degli Ausoni, 60, in the trendy San Lorenzo neighborhood, Black Sky provides an ideal base for exploring the Eternal City, combining convenience with a genuine local atmosphere away from the tourist crowds.

The San Lorenzo district where Black Sky is situated has evolved from its historical working-class roots into one of Rome’s most dynamic and artistic neighborhoods. Just a short distance from Termini Station, the area offers excellent transportation connections to all of Rome’s iconic attractions, including the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Vatican City. The nearby University of Rome La Sapienza infuses the district with youthful energy, while the surrounding streets are dotted with characteristic trattorias, artisanal shops, and bohemian cafés. The hotel’s strategic location provides guests with the perfect balance of accessibility to major landmarks while offering an authentic glimpse into contemporary Roman life.

Black Sky stands out among Rome’s accommodations with its exceptional service and attention to detail, factors that have contributed to its outstanding 9.2 rating. The thoughtfully designed rooms blend contemporary Italian style with functional comfort, providing a peaceful retreat after a day of exploration. Most guests particularly commend the immaculate cleanliness, comfortable bedding, and the helpful, multilingual staff who go above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. The hotel’s breakfast offering features a carefully curated selection of Italian pastries, fresh local produce, and aromatic coffee—providing the perfect fuel for days spent wandering Rome’s cobblestone streets. While maintaining the charm and character of its historic building, Black Sky incorporates modern amenities that today’s travelers expect, including reliable Wi-Fi, climate control, and soundproofed rooms that shield guests from the lively energy of the San Lorenzo district. For travelers seeking an authentic, high-quality Roman experience without the premium price tag of central tourist districts, Black Sky represents an exceptional choice that consistently delivers on its promise of hospitality excellence, as reflected in its near-perfect guest satisfaction rating.

Our stay in Rome lasted 3 days, and it was perfect. The apartment is exactly as shown in the photos, and they provided everything needed for 4 people, from towels to basic food products. The sofa bed is quite comfortable, and the bed is excellent. Everything was very clean and tidy. The owner of the apartment was always attentive and kind to us at all times. The only thing to consider is that it’s near the Termini bus terminal, which I wouldn’t recommend walking around at night, but there are buses and trams nearby that take you to the city center in just 10 minutes. I totally recommend it!

  • Merly from Ireland (10/10)

The place is well located near the Roma Termini and other means of transport. The interior was clean, modern and very comfortable, exactly as in the photos. The staff was also very kind and helpful.

  • Maria-magdalena from Romania (9/10)

The apartment was very clean, recently renovated with a smart design. It is suited for longer stays also, having a washing machine and access to a private area of the inner courtyard. Considering we travelled during late summer, it was very convenient for us to have good air conditioning in each room and a normal fridge with a large freezer. There are plenty of places to eat in the nearby, as well as a Carrefour market. The neighborhod is quite bohemian, even if a little bit dirty, with lots of street art and terraces visited by young people.

  • Sebo from Austria (7/10)

The inside of the house was really nice. Very clean and really nice amenities. The host was also very kind and helpful.

L’hôte est très sympathique et arrangeante.
Je recommande ! Merci encore !
