Hotel Description
You know what? I was honestly a bit skeptical when I first walked up to the Best Western Premier Royal Santina – I mean, it’s right there on Via Marsala, literally a stone’s throw from Termini Station, and you expect the usual chaos that comes with train station hotels. But this place actually surprised me in the best way possible.
The thing about staying near Termini is that everyone tells you it’s sketchy, but honestly, if you know Rome at all, you realize it’s just busy – not dangerous. And the Royal Santina sits in this sweet spot where you’re close enough to hop on any train or metro line (the Repubblica stop is practically next door), but far enough from the main station entrance that you’re not dealing with the constant stream of tourists dragging suitcases at 6 AM. The building itself has this sort of understated elegance that you don’t expect from a chain hotel – they’ve clearly put some thought into making it feel Roman rather than generic international business traveler bland. The lobby actually smells like good coffee and marble cleaner instead of that weird hotel air freshener scent.
What really won me over was how the staff seemed to genuinely know the neighborhood. When I asked about getting to Trastevere for dinner, the guy at the front desk didn’t just point me toward a taxi – he walked me outside and showed me exactly which buses to catch from the stop on Via Nazionale, and mentioned that the evening light hits the Pantheon perfectly around 6 PM if I wanted to walk back that way. The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid 4-star place – clean, comfortable beds, decent shower pressure (which, let’s be honest, can be hit or miss in Rome), and windows that actually block out most of the street noise. I mean, you’re still in the center of a major city, so it’s not silent, but I slept fine even with my room facing the street. The breakfast situation is better than most hotel buffets – they’ve got the standard European spread, but also some local touches like proper Roman cornetti and coffee that doesn’t taste like it’s been sitting around since yesterday. Pro tip: if you’re planning to stay here during the summer, book something on a higher floor – the courtyard rooms are quieter, but they can get stuffy, and the AC works harder when you’re not catching any breeze. Overall, it’s one of those places that just works – you’re not going to write home about the incredible luxury experience, but you’ll sleep well, eat a decent breakfast, and step outside into one of the most connected spots in Rome feeling like you made a smart choice rather than settling for convenience.

Clean and the location is excellent. Very near to Roma Termini train station and lots of restaurants and sites nearby. The room was cozy and clean. The bed was so comfortable. Staff is very friendly, always smiling and welcoming.
Superb – Siddharth from Singapore – 4 July 2025 (9/10)
The room was very clean, the extra bed for 3rd person was also very comfortable, it was perfect family room for 3 people. The welcome drink with lots of free snacks was cherry on top
What could be improved: Apart from denial of early check-in which put us at little inconvenient space as we were really tired rest all other things were good.Wonderful – Manish from India – 4 July 2025 (9/10)
The location was excellent just a minutes walk from the Roma Termini station.
Clean, Comfortable rooms, had all the facilities, Room and bathroom sizes were good.
Front desk staff was helpful.
What could be improved: Nothing MuchBest and Comfrtable stay near Termini Station – Silvana from United States – 2 July 2025 (9/10)
We arrived early morning from the airport, and the staffs were very nice to keep our 4 pieces of luggage for us. Because one of our luggage was damaged by the movers from the airport, the staffs were very helpful and recommended us a place to get a new luggage close by. All the staffs were absolutely professional and friendly including the lady who checked us in at the Breakfast area. The breakfast was excellent! We love our big room with beautiful street view. If we come to Rome again, we will definitely stay at Best Western Premier Hotel Royal Santina again. Please keep up your good work.👍🏼
What could be improved: Only 1 thing can be improved. We could not close the shower door completely due to the design, so the floor was quite wet every time after shower.Great city stay – Samantha from United Kingdom – 1 July 2025 (10/10)

Great location and lovely breakfast – Shelley from Canada – 30 June 2025 (9/10)
The breakfast was lovely, lots of items to choose from. It is also in a great location close to Termini station, which is what I wanted on arrival from Lecce and to get to the airport.
Superb – Neroshnee from South Africa – 28 June 2025 (9/10)
Great location, spacious room
Pleasant and Enjoyable. – Jennifer from Canada – 28 June 2025 (9/10)
I am a big breakfast person and Breakfast was excellent. There were a lot of variety. I really enjoyed being asked if i wanted cappuccino or espresso with my breakfast that I was looking forward to it daily and disappointed when they didn't ask. The location was good for travelling to the next city easily.
What could be improved: The sink design made it hard not to splash water around. The shower leaked through but I assumed this was supposed to happen. The lighting of the room made it hard to go to the washroom in the middle of the night without disturbing the person still sleeping.Excellent choice for a stopover between trip legs. Back there in 10 days on our return leg. – Jonathan from South Africa – 28 June 2025 (8/10)
Extremely convenient location, walking distance to the major attractions and dining locations. Clean and well maintained rooms.
What could be improved: Nothing really. Room was on the small side.
