Hotel Description

Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of places in Rome over the years, and honestly? B&B Best Pantheon is one of those spots that just gets it right. You walk in off Corso Vittorio Emanuele II – which, by the way, is this main thoroughfare that most tourists rush down without really noticing – and suddenly you’re in this surprisingly quiet little haven. The building itself has that solid Roman feel, you know what I mean? Thick walls that actually keep the street noise out, which is no small feat when you’re literally a few minutes’ walk from the Pantheon.

What really struck me about this place is how they’ve managed to feel boutique-y without being pretentious. The rooms are genuinely comfortable (and I’m picky about beds), plus they’ve got this attention to detail that you don’t always find in four-star places. I mean, the coffee machine in my room was actually decent – not one of those capsule things that taste like cardboard. The staff seems to know the neighborhood inside and out too, which is gold when you’re trying to figure out where to eat that isn’t a tourist trap. They pointed me toward this little trattoria on Via del Pantheon that I never would’ve found otherwise.

The location is honestly perfect if you want to be in the thick of things without feeling like you’re camping out in Times Square. Sure, the area around the Pantheon gets crazy during the day – especially those summer months when the tour groups descend – but early morning and evening? It’s actually pretty magical. You can walk to Campo de’ Fiori in about ten minutes, Piazza Navona is right there, and if you’re into that whole “getting lost in tiny Roman streets” thing, you’re in the perfect spot for it. Parking is… well, it’s Rome, so don’t even think about driving here. But the metro connections are solid, and honestly, you’ll probably walk everywhere anyway because that’s half the fun. The only minor thing I’d mention is that some of the rooms face the street, so if you’re a super light sleeper, maybe ask for something toward the back – though like I said, the sound insulation is pretty good. With an 8.7 rating, they’re clearly doing something right, and after staying there myself, I get why people keep coming back.

  • Elisa was wonderful & it was the perfect location for exploring Rome – Diane from Australia – 29 June 2025 (10/10)

Breakfast was provided a great assortment & very delicious. Delivered on time every morning by Elisa who was very helpful during our stay

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • My daughter and I loved this place! – Aunan from United States – 28 June 2025 (10/10)

Cute quaint place with an awesome breakfast. The help is available 8am-12pm every day and her English is perfect! Super clean and cold A/C!

What could be improved: We loved the property but we should have read the checking in process a little better before arrival! That was our mistake. No one is there after noon and you have to use your phone by the brown doors to the building before arrival. There is no sign on the wall of the building just a little doorbell with the name on the left of the doors. You must walk up the steps to the first floor. There is no elevator.

  • good spot for a short trip to ROME! – Ben from United States – 24 June 2025 (8/10)

Beds were comfortable, place was clean and well stocked with snacks, mini fridge. Property was easy to get to, close to a taxi stand for getting to airport. Close to pantheon, 5 min walk

What could be improved: AC worked great, it was chilly at night – blew directly to bed.

  • Wonderful accommodation and friendly staff – Wright from United Kingdom – 15 June 2025 (10/10)

  • Cost a bit more but was within walking distances to all great locations – Mike from New Zealand – 31 May 2025 (9/10)

Included breakfast that was provided each morning was excellent. Prepared fresh and great coffee too! Excellent location, centrally located so we could easliy walk to all the major locations like Vatican City, Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, etc. Process to check in was a bit more complicated but went fairly smoothly.

What could be improved: Getting to the accommodation from Rome Termini station wasn't so easy. Can't really walk and drag a suitcase and watch for the taxi drivers who seem to overcharge you for the trip.

  • Exceptional – Mārtiņš from Latvia – 27 May 2025 (10/10)

Breakfast is brought to the room, it is very convenient, saves time. The location of the hotel is great, in the very center of Rome. The view from the room to the street and even the cathedral is visible. The service is courteous and welcoming.
