The building sits right along the Tiber, and honestly, the location is pretty much unbeatable — you’re literally steps from the Spanish Steps and Piazza del Popolo. This four-star property doesn’t try to be flashy, but there’s something genuinely welcoming about the entrance that makes you feel like you’ve found a real gem in the heart of Rome.

The Perfect Roman Base

What I love about this spot is how effortlessly you can explore the city from here. You can walk to the Pantheon in about ten minutes, and the Spanish Steps are practically around the corner. The Spagna neighborhood has this perfect mix of tourist essentials and authentic Roman life — there’s a great little café just down the street where locals actually grab their morning espresso. You know what’s really nice? The area doesn’t feel overwhelmingly touristy despite being so central. The neighborhood truly captures the essence of authentic Roman living.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was honestly more spacious than I expected for central Rome. The beds here are genuinely comfortable — and I’m someone who usually struggles with hotel mattresses. The decor strikes that sweet spot between modern comfort and classic Italian style, nothing too fancy but everything feels well-maintained. The windows in my room actually opened (which isn’t always a given), and you get these lovely glimpses of Roman rooftops that remind you exactly where you are.

Morning Fuel

Breakfast here is proper Italian style — think fresh cornetti, good coffee, and a solid buffet spread that doesn’t try to be everything to everyone. They keep it simple but do it well, which I actually prefer to those overwhelming hotel breakfast situations. The Italian pastries are clearly sourced locally, and the coffee is strong enough to fuel your morning wandering through the city. It’s served in a bright space that gets you excited about the day ahead. The quality of ingredients really shines through in every bite.

Look, couples absolutely rave about this place, and after staying here, I totally get why. There’s something romantic about being able to stroll along the Tiber at sunset and then pop into a cozy wine bar in Spagna for dinner. The staff genuinely seems to care about making your stay work — they’re helpful without being pushy, which is exactly what you want when you’re trying to navigate a new city. The whole experience feels authentically Roman rather than like a generic hotel that could be anywhere, and that makes all the difference when you’re trying to soak up the real atmosphere of the Eternal City.

  The lady who helped us at reception and made coffee for us (she always remembered what all 10 of us drank in the morning) was phenomenal. She was a kind person, very friendly and very helpful.
