Fifteen minutes on foot if you want the walk, or hop on the metro for three stops. What really surprised me though was how the immediate neighborhood has this authentic Roman feel — there’s a fantastic little café downstairs where locals actually grab their morning espresso, not just tourists taking Instagram photos.

The Room Experience

My room was on the quieter side of the building, which I didn’t expect given how central everything is. The space feels thoughtfully designed — not huge, but every inch works perfectly. The bed was genuinely comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the bathroom had one of those rainfall showers that actually has decent water pressure. You know what really impressed me? The staff genuinely knows the neighborhood, so when I asked about avoiding tourist traps for dinner, they pointed me toward this incredible family-run restaurant just two blocks away that I never would’ve found otherwise. It’s these little insider touches that make the difference between just staying somewhere and actually experiencing a place.

  I especially want to highlight the host – Monica. She was incredibly kind, warm, and attentive. Her care and hospitality made me feel like I was coming back home after a busy day of sightseeing.

  The location is convenient to Roma Termini providing access to trains and connections to the airport. Most important for our stay in Rome was access to the Metro making connection to the Vatican and the Colosseum very easy. If you are in reasonable physical condition it is also easy to walk to various popular attractions Trevi fountain, Spanish steps, Pantheon, etc.
