Hotel Description

You know what caught me off guard about Arancio Luxury Accommodation? The name sounds almost too fancy, but honestly, it delivers without being pretentious about it. I mean, you’re literally steps from the Spanish Steps – and I’m talking like a two-minute walk, not some “close to everything” marketing nonsense. The hotel sits on this narrow Roman street that feels authentically local, where you’ll actually hear Italian conversations from the apartments above rather than just tourist chatter.

The building itself has that classic Roman elegance thing going on, but what I really appreciated was how they’ve modernized the interiors without losing the character. The rooms are surprisingly spacious for Rome (anyone who’s stayed in the historic center knows what a luxury that is), and the beds are actually comfortable – not those rock-hard European mattresses that leave you wondering if you’re sleeping on marble. The bathrooms have this beautiful marble work that feels very Roman without being over-the-top, and honestly, the water pressure is better than most places I’ve stayed in the city. Small thing, but when you’re walking 20,000 steps a day exploring, a proper shower matters.

What really sets this place apart though is the location knowledge the staff has. They don’t just hand you a generic tourist map – they’ll tell you that Via del Corso gets absolutely insane after 4 PM, or that there’s a tiny wine bar around the corner on Via Belsiana that locals actually go to. The concierge (I think his name was Marco?) steered me toward this little trattoria that wasn’t in any guidebook but served the best cacio e pepe I had in Rome. And parking – well, you’re in the historic center, so forget about driving, but the nearest metro is Spagna, literally a three-minute walk. You can get anywhere in Rome from there, or just walk to the Pantheon in fifteen minutes through these gorgeous side streets.

The only thing that might catch some people off guard is that it’s not a huge hotel – it feels more like a really well-run boutique place, which I actually preferred. You won’t find a massive lobby or a pool, but you also won’t feel like you’re in some anonymous chain hotel. The breakfast is solid (good coffee, which matters), and they serve it until a reasonable hour for people who want to sleep in after late Roman dinners. The neighborhood gets busy during the day with tourists heading to the Spanish Steps, but by evening it settles into this lovely Roman rhythm. Sometimes you’ll hear the sounds of the city – scooters, conversations, life happening – but it’s never disruptive. That’s Rome for you, and honestly, the white noise of the city is part of the charm. If you want complete silence, you probably shouldn’t be staying in the heart of Rome anyway.

  • Excellent location, clean, stylish and very nice amnentities – Lecia from United States – 28 December 2024 (10/10)

It’s in an excellent location. Very safe area and walkable to everything. Very nice amenities and the owner was very responsive to a problem we had.

What could be improved: The shower didn’t work one day and the last day the hot water heater didn’t work so very cold showers. The owner was responsive and did her best to correct the problem.

  • A comfortable stay with a great location and excellent staff support. – Khalid from United Arab Emirates – 10 November 2024 (10/10)

We had a wonderful stay at this spacious and well-located apartment. The place was larger than expected, providing plenty of room and comfort. The kitchen was well-equipped and convenient for our needs. The location, just minutes from the Spanish Steps, made exploring the city easy and enjoyable. The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming, and we truly appreciated their support throughout our stay.

  • Excellent property – Manos from Greece – 7 October 2024 (10/10)

The location is PERFECT! 3 mins walk to Fontana Di Trevi, Piazza Di Spagna etc… a lot of restaurants around, a super market just around the corner. Very clean and shiny…Very nice bathrooms, lovely kitchen. Super good value for money.

  • Incredibly beautiful! – Francis from Spain – 2 September 2024 (10/10)

Above all expectations! Location is great, 3 min by walk from Spanish Steps. Apartment is new and luxurious with all comfort. Kitchen is fantastic with Nespresso and also with dishwasher and washer dryer. Staff is absolutely perfect, they gave me a lot of tips for live the city at the best. We'll be back in December !

What could be improved: All perfect!

  • Very good – Andrie from Cyprus – 8 March 2025 (8/10)

We stayed in this apartment for a few nights, and while the location and cleanliness were great, there were some inconveniences that affected our stay.

    The Good:

The apartment is in a perfect location, right in the heart of Rome—ideal for exploring the city on foot.

    Very clean and well-maintained.

Spacious layout with three bedrooms and two en-suite bathrooms.

The WiFi works well, which was helpful since there was no phone reception inside the apartment.

Despite the official checkout being at 10 AM, they allowed us to stay until 11:30 AM, which was appreciated.

What could be improved: The Not-So-Good:

No hot water on our first night, so we couldn’t shower after arriving at 2 AM. It was fixed the next day, but it was an uncomfortable start.

No kettle to warm water, even though they provided tea bags and two Nespresso capsules—for four people. They do have a microwave though..

No snacks or essentials provided. Arriving late at night, with no hot water, no hot drinks, and nothing to eat since everything was closed, a small welcome hamper would have been a nice touch.

Two bedrooms have no windows—one of the double rooms and the third bedroom (the third room also has a very low ceiling—if you’re taller than 1.70m, you’ll likely hit your head).

Tiny elevator—the apartment is on the second floor, but the lift is extremely small.

Only one bottle of water in the fridge—nothing else.

The noise every morning at 6 AM was unbearable! Glass bottles being thrown in the trash, garbage collection—it feels like a train is passing outside your window.

The apartment is a great choice for its location and cleanliness, and we appreciated the late checkout. However, it lacks some basic comforts, especially for late-night arrivals.

  • Good – Michelle from United States – 7 June 2025 (7/10)

    Good location

What could be improved: Had to leave bedroom doors open to stay cool, no wash cloths, elevator extremely small, my daughter got stuck in it and it took 10 minutes to get her out. Not enough electric plugs.

  • Pobyt bardzo udany mieszkanie dobrze wyposażone ,położone blisko głównych atrakcji Rzymu – Arleta from Poland – 10 April 2025 (10/10)

Położenie w centrum miasta.Bardzo dobra komunikacja z właścicielem

What could be improved: Brak okien w 2 pokojach.

  • Ott alvásra megfelel. – Erika from Hungary – 6 April 2025 (8/10)

Mindenhez közel van. Nagyon kényelmes matracok vannak.

What could be improved: Csak egy szobán van ablak, ami nagyon zajos. A hálófülke feljáró mellett nincs korlát, a fülke alacsony!
A liftbe nem mertünk beszállni, kicsi és labilisnak tűnik.

  • Exceptional – Kai from Germany – 11 March 2025 (10/10)

  • Oltre le mie aspettative – Fabio from Switzerland – 22 February 2025 (9/10)

    Struttura moderna particolare e attrezzata
Centrale comodissima per visitare Roma a piedi
Vicina a tutti i servizi pubblici , negozi e ristoranti

    Anche se centrale molto silenziosa
