Hotel Description

Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of apartments in Rome, and honestly? Most of them are either tiny shoebox affairs or they’re stuck in some residential area where you need a GPS just to find a decent coffee. But this place on Via di Tor Millina – it’s actually something special, and I mean that in the best possible way.

First off, you’re literally a two-minute walk from Piazza Navona, which sounds touristy until you realize what that actually means. You can slip out in the morning before the crowds hit and grab an espresso at one of the bars on Via dei Coronari (which, by the way, is this gorgeous medieval street lined with antique shops that most tourists never discover). The apartment itself sits on this quiet little street that somehow manages to be dead center in the historic district without all the chaos – I mean, you’re close enough to hear the street musicians in the piazza on summer evenings, but far enough that you can actually sleep. The building has that authentic Roman character you hope for, you know? Thick walls, high ceilings, and thank god for that because it keeps things cool even in August.

What really got me about this place was the attention to detail – and I don’t mean fancy amenities, I mean the stuff that actually matters when you’re living somewhere for a few days. The shower has proper water pressure (if you’ve been to Rome, you know this is basically a miracle), the kitchen is actually functional rather than just decorative, and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling like you’re camping. The owner clearly gets what travelers need because there are things like good lighting for reading, proper blackout curtains, and – this might sound silly – but decent hangers in the closet. You’d be surprised how many places cheap out on the basics. The neighborhood itself is pure magic, especially if you time it right. Early morning walks through the empty piazza with just the fountain sounds and pigeons? Absolutely perfect. Evening aperitivo at one of the wine bars tucked into the surrounding streets? Even better. You’re also walking distance to the Pantheon, which I probably visited four times just because I could – there’s something about being able to pop over to a 2,000-year-old building whenever you feel like it.

The only minor thing I’d mention is that the street can get a bit lively on weekend nights – nothing crazy, just the usual Roman evening energy – but honestly, that’s part of the charm. You’re in the heart of one of the world’s most beautiful cities, not a suburban hotel. If you want complete silence, this isn’t your spot. But if you want to feel like you’re actually living in Rome for a while, rather than just visiting it, this apartment nails it perfectly.

What could be improved: Could be a bit noisy at night

  • Exceptional – Elisa from Germany – 14 February 2025 (10/10)

  • Exceptional – Betine from Netherlands – 29 December 2024 (10/10)

How lucky we were to celebrate Christmas in this beautiful apartment! It felt like a small palazzo, with its authentic charm and perfect location just steps from Piazza Navona. The thoughtful Christmas decorations made it extra festive and welcoming.

The apartment was spacious, tastefully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. A truly unforgettable experience—highly recommended!

  • Amazing place with great location! – Catherine from United States – 12 December 2024 (10/10)

What an amazing place to stay in Rome! It almost seemed unreal! It’s huge and gorgeous! My grandson and I got lost the first night, haha!

What could be improved: The only thing we didn’t like about the property was that the dining room was quite dark. It was very pretty, but we couldn’t really play games at the table in that lighting. (There were pretty sconces on the wall and a big standup lamp, but not really conducive to doing anything like paperwork at the table). It was fine though, because cause we ended up spending more time in the kitchen, which is the smallest part of the property, but there was just the 2 of us and it had everything we needed!

  • Exceptional – Lisa from United States – 4 December 2024 (10/10)

This apartment is incredible. So much room and in an amazing location! Easy contactless entry. Very clean and nice. Host is very helpful and responsive. We had a lovely stay! Only wish it were longer.

  • recommended for spacious 3 bedroom centrally located – Nicole from Australia – 23 October 2024 (8/10)

central location, clean, spacious , luxurious. lots of viewing options on the tv in multiple languages

What could be improved: could use more lights, an extra towel or two, tea towel and plug for kitchen sink, microwave and washing machine to put it over the top. neighbourhood music plays until late in the night. recycle instructions in english

  • Excellent – Carl from United States – 26 September 2024 (9/10)

The location and the actual apartment. Large and well maintained

What could be improved: The band/ bar right across from us played until 2am. The waiters there became our friend though! We got use to the noise
