Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Appartamento Piazza Navona? It’s actually on Via dell’Orso, not right on the piazza itself, which honestly works in your favor. You’re literally a two-minute walk from all that tourist chaos at Piazza Navona, but when you duck into this little side street, it’s like stepping into a completely different Rome – the one where locals still hang laundry from windows and you can hear actual conversations instead of tour guides with megaphones.
The building itself has that worn-in elegance that you only find in places that have been standing since before your great-grandmother was born. I mean, we’re talking about being sandwiched between the Pantheon and the Spanish Steps here, so you’re essentially sleeping in a postcard. But here’s the thing – it doesn’t feel like a tourist trap. The apartments (and yeah, these are proper apartments, not hotel rooms) have this lived-in quality that makes you feel like you’re borrowing a Roman friend’s place rather than just passing through. The 4-star rating is spot-on too; it’s polished without being stuffy, comfortable without trying too hard. You’ll find decent kitchenettes if you want to grab some mortadella and fresh bread from the market stalls near Campo de’ Fiori – which, by the way, is an easy walk and way less crowded in the early morning hours.
What really sells this place is the location intelligence, if that makes sense. You’re close enough to walk to the Trevi Fountain before breakfast (seriously, go at 7 AM and you’ll practically have it to yourself), but far enough from the main drag that you won’t be kept awake by those roving bands of twenty-somethings bar-hopping until 3 AM. The narrow streets around here actually funnel the noise away pretty well. Plus, you’re near some genuinely good restaurants that Romans actually eat at – not just the ones with English menus plastered outside. That 8.9 rating doesn’t surprise me at all; it’s the kind of place where the details work in your favor. Good water pressure, reliable Wi-Fi, and the kind of shutters that actually keep the summer heat out during those brutal July afternoons. The only real downside? No elevator in most of these old buildings, so pack light or embrace the daily leg workout. But honestly, after a few days of walking Rome’s cobblestones, a few flights of stairs won’t even register.

Exceptional – Pham from United States – 6 May 2025 (10/10)
We didn't have breakfast there. The location was excellent, we didn't use any transport except for the airport. We got to the apartment earlier than we planned but Amerigo makes sure someone there to let us in early so we can explore the city and that's a bonus.
What could be improved: No shampoo or conditioner but pharmacy is everywhere so we just got some. No big deal.Excellent – Milo from Albania – 21 April 2025 (10/10)
Excellent stay! The location was perfect, right in the heart of the city, with easy access to all the main sights, most of which could be reached on foot. The host was very kind and always willing to help. The apartment was spacious, ideal for a family with two children, and very clean. I would definitely recommend it!
Great location, good studio and helpful host 🙂 – Georgiana from Romania – 28 March 2025 (10/10)
The location is perfect, right in the center, near all sightseeing's. The studio was super clean, warm and cozy. There is a coffee capsules machine and AC. Amerigo is a great host very helpful with everything and he suggested us some local (non touristic) restaurants and close hidden sights around the area. Supermarket very close to location. Would definitely book again, for our next trip to Rome!
Fabulous. – Anna from Sweden – 28 March 2025 (10/10)
Fantastic location, great flat, wonderful terrace, super helpful host. Coffee and tea, shower gel and soaps were supplied, as well as an abundance of local recommendations for restaurants, cafes, etc. We, a family of four with 2 kids (4 and 6), were very happy about our stay.
What could be improved: No complaints at all.Everything was great warm and quite appartnent comfort sleep – Voyatzi from Greece – 31 January 2025 (10/10)
The location was perfect. Although it is situated very close to piazza Navona it was very quite. Amerigo is a great host very helpful and everything he suggested us concerning restaurants and close hidden sights around the area were perfect and especially the restaurants not touristic. The apartment had everything. Wifi was excellent
What could be improved: Maybe bathroom needs a refresh but for those who want only an accommodation for exploring Rome this apartment is the best choiceExceptional – Krasimira from Bulgaria – 21 January 2025 (10/10)
