The moment you walk into this place on Via del Leoncino, you realize someone with actual taste put thought into every corner – and I mean that in the best way possible. It’s not trying too hard to be Instagram-perfect, but honestly, you’ll probably end up photographing that gorgeous bathroom anyway.

The location is what really sold me though. You’re literally a two-minute stumble from the Spanish Steps (trust me, I timed it after a long dinner), but here’s the thing most people don’t realize – being on this particular street means you get all the benefits of staying in Spagna without the tourist chaos right outside your door. Via del Leoncino has this quiet, almost residential feel that makes you feel like you’re living in Rome rather than just visiting it. The building itself has that classic Roman character – thick walls that actually keep the noise out, which is pretty rare in this part of the city. I was worried about street noise, but honestly slept better here than I do at home.

What I love about this apartment is how it manages to feel both modern and authentically Roman. The design isn’t that cold, minimalist stuff you see everywhere – it’s warm and sophisticated, with these beautiful touches that make you want to just hang out and drink wine instead of rushing off to tick tourist boxes. The kitchen actually functions (you’d be surprised how often that’s not the case), and they’ve got proper coffee setup, which matters when you’re trying to ease into Roman time. The whole place just feels considered, you know? Like someone thought about how people actually live and move through a space. Plus – and this is crucial if you’re visiting in summer – the air conditioning works properly and doesn’t sound like a jet engine.

The host situation is refreshingly straightforward too. Check-in was smooth, no weird key pickup drama, and they actually respond to messages without making you feel like you’re bothering them. That 9.3 rating isn’t just people being nice – this place delivers on what it promises. Just book it during shoulder season if you can – Rome in spring from this location is pretty much perfect.

  Great location, modern, very clean, and super host. We were 2 couples with toddlers and we loved it and wouldn't hesitate to book the apartment again.l. Our host (Cecilia) was very responsive and always ready to help. She even let us stay much later than the checkout time which saved us from lot of inconvenience.

  We’ve come to Rome many times, and this is our favorite location and apartment so far. The location is at the center of all the places we wanted to see. The layout and privacy between bedrooms and living area was just perfect for our situation. Not only is it spacious, but I could get up early, make coffee, and make calls in kitchen/living area without bothering anyone. We will recommend this location for all our friends.
