  We were four people staying in the Vatican Vista apartment for five days and we enjoyed it. It is not a standard Airbnb-aesthetic, Ikea-filled, minimalist rental. It is much more a lived-in home. We enjoyed the space, the location, and Rossana is a warm host with a wealth of information to share about Rome! The vouchers for coffee and cornetto at the cafe downstairs were a great component of our stay, even if we didn't use them every day.

  Roseanne, the owner of the B&B, made us feel incredibly comfortable and welcoming from the moment we arrived. My husband wasn’t feeling well and she brought him into the B&B before we checked in so he could use the bathroom and lie down.

  A voucher is provided for the cafe downstairs called Mancini, which will cover a pastry & coffee, which was an excellent little place. Breakfast provisions, cereal, milk, juice were also provided in the apartment kitchen. The property is an old building – around 200 years old, with apartment located on the 4th floor (there is a small lift). Literally a stones throw from the Vatican, so if that is your main reason to visit then it is ideal. If you plan to spend more time in central Rome you can get there on a bus outside which is very good value. A taxi from the city centre (Colosseum) to the apartment will cost around EUR25. We stayed during a heatwave (41C), which made it a challenge to keep cool in the apartment at times – an aircon unit in one of the bedrooms wasn't great, but ceiling fan and extra fan provided some respite. The owner is a lovely older lady, who gives lot's of useful information about Rome.
