Hotel Description
You know what hits you first when you walk into Antica Residenza Del Corso? The silence. I mean, you’re literally steps away from Via del Corso – one of Rome’s busiest shopping streets – but somehow this little palazzo on Via delle Convertite feels like a secret hideaway that only locals know about. The entrance is pretty understated, which I actually love because it means you’re not dealing with tour groups clogging up the lobby.
The building itself has this authentic 18th-century charm that hasn’t been sanitized for tourists. The rooms have those impossibly high ceilings and original frescoes that you can’t fake, though honestly, some of the bathrooms are a bit snug (typical for historic Roman buildings). What really sold me on this place was the staff – they’re the kind of people who’ll draw you a hand-sketched map to their favorite trattoria instead of sending you to some tourist trap. The concierge actually lives in the neighborhood and knows which gelato shop has the shortest lines at 3 PM on a Saturday.
Location-wise, you’re in the sweet spot of the Spagna district where you can walk to the Spanish Steps in about three minutes, but more importantly, you’re surrounded by streets that actual Romans frequent. There’s this tiny wine bar around the corner on Via della Croce that stays open until 2 AM, and the morning market stalls along Via del Corso have vendors who’ll remember your face after two days. The Metro stop at Spagna is right there, which is clutch for getting to the Vatican without dealing with Rome’s… let’s call it “creative” taxi situation. Parking is basically nonexistent unless you’re okay with paying €30-40 a day at nearby garages, but honestly, you won’t need a car in this part of the city anyway. The 8.7 rating makes sense – it’s not trying to be the Ritz, but it nails what it’s going for: authentic Roman elegance without the stuffiness. Just don’t expect a gym or pool; this is more about soaking up the neighborhood vibe than resort amenities.

Stylish hotel, extra clean on a perfect location! In sophisticatedly decorated rooms you will find everything you need. Cleanliness is on a high level. Stuff is more than helpful and very professional, especially Federica. Located on the corner which is in the middle of Via del Corso street, it gives you a short walks to the main attractions. I traveled with a group and we all have a very pleasant stay. For every recommendation!

Perfect location, Frederica was a great host, she helped with everything we needed. A local's map of restaurants and bars was an awesome touch.
What could be improved: Depending on how light of a sleeper you might be, ear plugs are advisable as the small streets are noisy from all the traffic
