Hotel Description

Perched elegantly on the third floor of a classic Roman building, the 4-star “Amazing penthouse with terrace and rooftop in Trastevere” offers an authentic Italian experience that transcends typical hotel accommodations. With an exceptional guest rating of 9.4, this gem stands as one of Rome’s most highly acclaimed lodging options, delivering a blend of luxury and local charm that discerning travelers seek. Situated in the heart of Trastevere, one of Rome’s most beloved and vibrant neighborhoods, this penthouse serves as both a sophisticated retreat and an ideal base for exploring the Eternal City.

Located at 31 Via della Pelliccia, this penthouse places you in the soul of historic Trastevere, a district renowned for its winding cobblestone streets, ochre-colored buildings adorned with ivy, and a genuinely Roman atmosphere that has captivated visitors for generations. While the absence of an elevator presents a brief climb to reach this rooftop haven, guests consistently report that the spectacular views and exclusive atmosphere more than compensate for the short ascent. From this privileged position, you’ll find yourself within walking distance of Trastevere’s enchanting piazzas, including the magnificent Piazza di Santa Maria in Trastevere with its stunning 12th-century basilica. The area brims with authentic trattorias, artisanal shops, and lively bars that illuminate with activity as evening falls. For those eager to explore Rome’s iconic landmarks, the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Vatican City, and the Spanish Steps are all easily accessible via a short taxi ride or public transportation. The penthouse’s strategic location also places you just a pleasant stroll away from the Tiber River, where you can cross one of Rome’s picturesque bridges to reach the historic center and additional attractions.

What truly distinguishes this accommodation is its extraordinary terrace and rooftop features, offering panoramic vistas across Rome’s terracotta rooftops, distant domes, and the city’s characteristic pine trees silhouetted against the sky. This exceptional outdoor space provides a rare private sanctuary in the midst of the bustling city—perfect for savoring a morning espresso as the sun illuminates the ancient city, enjoying an afternoon reprieve with a book and glass of local wine, or indulging in a romantic dinner beneath the stars after a day of exploration. The penthouse itself seamlessly blends contemporary comfort with traditional Roman architectural elements, creating an atmosphere of refined elegance that has earned its outstanding 9.4 rating from satisfied guests. While maintaining the privacy and intimate experience of a personal residence, the accommodation doesn’t compromise on luxury, delivering the exceptional service standards expected of a premier 4-star establishment. Whether you’re seeking a romantic getaway, a culturally immersive stay, or simply a distinguished alternative to conventional hotels, this amazing penthouse in Trastevere promises a memorable Roman sojourn that connects you to both the city’s storied past and its vibrant present.

Comfortable apartment with good location, it was perfect for our stay in Rome. Marzia was very helpful as a host.

We arranged a ride from the airport to the apartment for the six of us, and were met at the door by someone with keys, who let us check in a few hours early. The location was perfect – a long but possible walk to the colosseum and Vatican and just steps away from most of Trastevere. The apartment was just as described – four flights of stairs to the living area, but very comfortable and the only problem we had was trying to understand the trash system.

Lage war perfekt. Wir konnten alles zu Fuß erreichen! Vermieterinnen waren immer da wenn man Tipps und Hilfe benötigt hat. Die Tipps waren hervorragend!

  • Mihai from Romania (9/10)
