Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be straight with you about the Aida Trevi Fountain Rome – it’s one of those places that gets the location thing absolutely right, and honestly, in Rome, that’s half the battle won already. You’re literally on Via Rasella, which means you can stumble out of bed and be at the Trevi Fountain in about two minutes (I actually timed it one morning when I was running late to meet friends). The thing is, most people don’t realize Via Rasella is this quiet little street that somehow manages to feel residential despite being smack in the center of everything – it’s like finding a secret passage in a crowded museum.
The hotel itself sits on the primo piano (first floor for us non-Italians), and I mean, you can actually hear the fountain from some of the rooms if you open the windows at night. During the day it’s all tourist chatter and coins splashing, but around 11 PM it gets surprisingly peaceful – just the gentle sound of water doing its thing. The staff here actually knows the neighborhood rhythms, which is rarer than you’d think. They’ll tell you to hit the fountain at 7 AM if you want photos without crowds, or point you toward that little bakery on Via del Tritone that opens early and does proper cornetti (not the sad tourist versions).
What really sold me on this place was the authentic Roman apartment feel – you know how some hotels try so hard to be “boutique” that they forget to be comfortable? This isn’t that. The rooms have actual character, with those high ceilings and shuttered windows that make you feel like you’re staying in someone’s well-appointed home rather than a generic hotel box. Sure, it’s not going to blow you away with fancy amenities, but the beds are solid, the bathrooms work properly (important detail in older Roman buildings), and there’s decent Wi-Fi throughout. I honestly spent more time exploring the neighborhood than hanging around the hotel anyway – you’re a five-minute walk from the Spanish Steps, the Pantheon is basically around the corner, and you can easily walk to Trastevere for dinner without breaking a sweat. The 8-star rating feels about right – it’s not perfect, but it nails the things that actually matter when you’re trying to experience Rome like a human being rather than just tick boxes off a tourist checklist.

Reviews
Good location, Very helpful host. – Julie from United Kingdom – 10 June 2025 (8/10)
Our flight was delayed by 1hr which meant we would be arriving at the apartment after 9pm. I text Loris who was meeting us there. He was extremely helpful. He waited for us to give us the keys. He also gave us a map and absolutely loads of information on where to go and eat. His recommendation for our first meal turned out to be the very best while we were there. Proper home cooked roman food. Having given us his whattsapp number he left. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed for our dhort dtay. It was just out of the way of the noisy busy road but a good location for walking out and about and a lovely breakfast restaurant just at the bottom of the road on the corner. Also very nice for a pre cocktail before venturing further afield in the evenings.
What could be improved: That we had to walk up yet another hill !!!!Superb – Ansell from United Kingdom – 11 May 2025 (9/10)
The location was perfect , and the bed was very comfortable.
great location, great host – Sharma from United States – 27 March 2025 (8/10)
Host was awesome, location was fantastic, lot of historical places to visit within 10 mins of walk and good food places nearby.
What could be improved: Internet was a bit challenging, because of the old buildings, but overall satisfying.Great spot for a short stay. – Denise from United States – 17 October 2024 (7/10)
The location was convenient, especially if you have little time.
What could be improved: The beds were not very comfortable, if linens on top of bed were type which could be washed regularly that would be improvement. The bathroom toilet needs upgrading.Perfect location for a stay in Rome – highly recommend – Michelle from Australia – 30 July 2024 (9/10)
Brilliant location, just a quick walk to the Trevi fountain and central walkable distance to other key sights. 2 bedroom apartment was comfortable and accommodated us well for our stay and air conditioning was very welcome in the hot weather. The host is very helpful and took us through the places to see on our trip. Kitchen is compact but was all we needed, the apartment is very well located with a supermarket and many restaurants near by.
STAY HERE! – James from United States – 10 May 2024 (8/10)
LOCATION IS ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS. Half mile from train. Medici chapel across street.Uffittzi and Academia close walk. Your surrounded by restraunts. Supplies near by. ps use the 99cent store for drinks.
What could be improved: Three flights of stairs. Lots of noise. Just get earplugs.Perfect location and excellent host! – Raechelle from Australia – 21 January 2024 (9/10)
Loris was the perfect host, right from the initial booking. He assisted with details regarding our accommodation and access, but also arranged private transfers from and to the airport, as well as providing valuable local knowledge for our stay! Brilliant location too, so easy to walk to all the major sites from here.

It was ideally located to shopping and restaurants and a few minutes to the beautiful Trevi fountain ❤️
What could be improved: Air conditioning can not be left on to keep it cool and would like the towels changed during our staySuperb – Adele from United Kingdom – 16 July 2023 (9/10)
The location is perfect, just a few minutes walk and you are at the trevi fountain. The owner was super lovely and knowledgeable.
It was very hot and the air conditioning was amazing. Very quiet at night which was also a bonus if you have children.
What could be improved: The cooking facilities were a little lacking but we didn't need them as ate out.
