Hotel Description
You know what? I walked past Affittacamere Boncompagni Suite probably a dozen times before I actually stayed there, and honestly, I was kicking myself for not booking it sooner. It’s tucked right on Via Boncompagni – which, if you know Rome at all, puts you in this perfect sweet spot where you’re close enough to everything but far enough from the tourist chaos that you can actually think straight. The whole Ludovisi neighborhood has this sort of… I don’t know, grown-up Roman vibe? Like, you’ve got locals doing their morning coffee runs instead of crowds taking selfies every five seconds.
The suite itself – and I mean, they call it “affittacamere” which literally just means room rental, but don’t let that fool you – feels more like staying at your well-traveled aunt’s Roman apartment than some sterile hotel. The owners clearly put thought into the details that actually matter when you’re trying to feel human after a long day of walking on cobblestones. The bed linens are that perfect weight where you know someone cared about thread count, and the bathroom has one of those rainfall showers that actually works (you’d be surprised how many Roman hotels mess this up). What really got me though was the morning light – these tall windows that let in this gorgeous, soft Roman sun that makes you want to sit there with your espresso and pretend you live there permanently.
Here’s the thing about the location that the generic travel sites won’t tell you: you’re literally a ten-minute walk from Villa Borghese, but more importantly, you’re right by Via Veneto without the Via Veneto prices for everything. There’s this little alimentari around the corner where the owner will slice your prosciutto paper-thin and recommend wines like you’re family, plus you can walk to Termini in about fifteen minutes if you need to catch a train. The neighborhood gets quiet at night – not dead quiet, but that perfect Rome quiet where you hear the occasional Vespa and maybe some laughter from a nearby trattoria. Parking is… well, it’s Rome, so manage your expectations, but there’s actually street parking if you’re brave enough to drive here. I’d honestly just stick with walking though – you’re close enough to everything that matters, and your feet will thank you for the break from Rome’s particularly creative interpretation of sidewalk maintenance.

Reviews
Very safe, clean, and comfortable stay! – Neva from United States – 1 July 2025 (10/10)
It was very clean and comfortable! Safe and nice part of city. We loved the kettle in our room so we could make tea.
What could be improved: Not quite as close to a metro station as we would have preferred. But it was quite close to a bus connection, so we typically used the bus to transfer to the metro.Great stay the lady/owner was perfect would defiantly recommend – Jay from United Kingdom – 25 June 2025 (10/10)

What could be improved: NothingRoom in Rome – Karen from Australia – 23 May 2025 (9/10)
Able to leave luggage on early arrival, compact room but had everything you needed including windows that opened for fresh air and a small fridge. It was very clean.
Perfect Accommodation in Rome – Elifnaz from Turkey – 11 May 2025 (10/10)
The hotel was absolutely very clean and they cleaned our room every day with the same care. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The location is very good and in a safe neighborhood, also close to everywhere. There is a market right next to the hotel and bus stops nearby.
Pleasent stay in a perfect area for walking around the city, the place felt safe at all times. – Mariana from United Kingdom – 5 May 2025 (8/10)
Staff very friendly, the room was modern and clean
What could be improved: It is easy to hear through the wallsIt’s a good place to stay, in a quiet neighbourhood. – Epatov from Romania – 28 February 2025 (9/10)
It’s clean, and in a safe area, pile 500 m away from the US embassy. I felt safe to walk even in the evening.
What could be improved: It was a bit far from the centre, like around 20 minutes walk from Fontana di Trevi.Exceptional – Selim from Montenegro – 31 January 2025 (10/10)
very satisfied, the apartment was clean, close to the center, the reception gave us all the necessary information and were always there to help us with anything related to the apartment and the city, thank you, we will come again.
Great for a couple – Nika from Sweden – 24 January 2025 (10/10)
Everything was great, perfect for our weekend get away! Loved the design in the rooms, newly renovated bathrooms and everything well maintained. The cleaning staff did an amazing job and everything went smoothly when we checked in and paid. It's good to know that getting into the room worked for us without contact and was well explained. Also, and that happens rarely, but I loved the pillows!
Very central yet tucked away on a quiet street in Rome! Just prefect! – Cristina from United Arab Emirates – 10 December 2024 (10/10)
The location was excellent—very central yet tucked away on a quiet street. Monica was fantastic—so kind and always went out of her way to assist me with directions and planning. I loved the street's ambiance and felt completely safe walking alone at night, even as a solo female traveler.
The area is in a perfect position with great facilities nearby. Transportation options, a supermarket just 50 meters away, coffee shops, and restaurants are all within easy reach. Many of Rome's iconic tourist destinations are walkable, with the historic center just a 10-minute stroll away.
My room, though compact, was spotless and thoughtfully designed. It came with lovely toiletries for the shower, a television, tasteful decor, and a charming window seat offering a serene view of the tree foliage outside. I truly appreciated every detail! It’s 10-15 min far away from center, so nice place to stay – Varduhi from Armenia – 2 December 2024 (9/10)
Everything was good
