Hotel Description

I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to the Adesso Hotel on Via Mazzoni, I wasn’t expecting much. The Nomentano neighborhood isn’t exactly where most tourists end up, and that’s actually what makes this place brilliant. You’re about fifteen minutes from the chaos of Termini Station, but it feels like you’ve discovered some quiet corner of Rome that the guidebooks forgot to mention.

The hotel itself has this understated elegance thing going on – you know, the kind of place where the lobby doesn’t scream “LOOK AT ME” but somehow makes you feel like you’ve made a smart choice. The staff actually remembers your name after day two (rare in Rome, trust me), and they’ll give you directions to places that aren’t just the Colosseum and Vatican. Speaking of getting around, the Policlinico metro stop is literally a five-minute walk, which means you can be at the Spanish Steps in twenty minutes without dealing with Rome’s… let’s call it “creative” taxi drivers. The rooms are what you’d hope for from a solid four-star – clean lines, comfortable beds that don’t feel like they’re trying too hard to be boutique-y, and bathrooms where you can actually move around without bumping into everything.

But here’s what really won me over: the neighborhood vibe. Walk five minutes in any direction and you’ll find yourself in residential Rome – actual Romans walking their dogs, little cafes where the barista raises an eyebrow if you order a cappuccino after 11 AM, and that bakery on Via Nomentana (I think it’s called Panificio something) where they make these incredible cornetti that’ll ruin hotel breakfast for you forever. The area gets genuinely quiet at night, which is gold if you’re trying to recover from tramping around the Forum all day. Sure, you won’t stumble out the front door directly onto some famous piazza, but honestly? After a few days of tourist-central Rome, coming back to this little pocket of normal life feels like exhaling. The Adesso gets that balance right – comfortable enough that you’re not roughing it, but real enough that you feel like you’re actually staying in Rome instead of some international hotel bubble that could be anywhere.

Reviews

  • Modern hotel with several disappointing aspects. – Peter from Hungary – 30 June 2025 (8/10)

It was modern and had good access to the subway. The room size was decent and the lobby looked pleasant. It was also close to several stores and a great pizzeria called Stradaromana. The reception staff was helpful.

What could be improved: It was located in an unpleasant area and the hotel didn’t have its own garage. They told us to go to Garage Tiburtina, but there were two Garage Tiburtinas and we accidentally went to the wrong one. Please go to Garage Statzione Tiburtina if you are going by car and not to the other Tiburtina garage. The breakfast was mediocre and for anything better than the small selection of the breakfast included (eg. for pancakes and all egg dishes, except for the unappetizing scrambled eggs), they charge extra (and it still wasn’t very good). The breakfast crew was not particularly polite or active.

  • Comfortable, Clean, and convenient. – Julie from United States – 25 June 2025 (10/10)

Loved the cleanliness of the room, the amenities, the water, and the comfort.

What could be improved: The shower was a little small for full sized adults. Other than that it was great.

  • Exceptional – Katrina from Australia – 25 June 2025 (10/10)

The rooms were clean and tidy and across the road from train station

  • Safe, clean nice personnel at the front desk and the rest of the stuff – Ungureanu from Romania – 23 June 2025 (10/10)

Clean, nice staff, supportive and available. Good location closed to subway, train station ( not noisy area) bus station, taxi station, mini markets and pharmacy around. Good breakfast, clean hotel everywhere.

  • Nice place for affordable price – Aigul from United Arab Emirates – 20 June 2025 (9/10)

The Hotel is met all my expectations.
Th cleanliness of room, facilities, breakfast, staff – all was great!
The Wifi in room is speedy and the location is convenient – 2 mins to metro station to reach all parts of the city.
The shops and cades are nearby as well.

    Recommend it!

What could be improved: Some sewage smell in the bathroom.

  • Exceptional – Ádám from Norway – 18 June 2025 (10/10)

    Clean and modern design.
    Convenient location.

What could be improved: No gym.
    Simple breakfast.

  • More pozitive feedback then a negative one so i will say ok – Bogdan from United Kingdom – 13 June 2025 (9/10)

    Close to city transport .

What could be improved: Breakfast very poor nothing healthy to eat , to be honest was the worst breakfast i ever been to , strange that is an Italian hotel and they are serving the coffee from a vend machine.

  • Superb – Riccardo from Italy – 10 June 2025 (9/10)

This is my second stay at this hotel, and I really like it. It's clean, conveniently located near Tiburtina station, and offers great value for money.

What could be improved: I think the breakfast priced at 18 EUR is a bit on the expensive side.

  • Very good – Claire from United Kingdom – 9 June 2025 (8/10)

    Location and cleanliness

  • Very good for resting – Wilson from United States – 8 June 2025 (10/10)

    Very clean and comfortable
