4BNB – Luxury Mazzini Apartment

Look, I’ve stayed at plenty of places in Rome, but this spot on Viale Mazzini caught me off guard – in the best way possible. You know how most apartment rentals feel like someone just cleared out their junk and threw some generic furniture around? Well, this isn’t that. The moment I walked into 4BNB’s luxury apartment, I actually felt like I was in someone’s thoughtfully designed home, not a rental mill.

The location is honestly brilliant, and I mean that. Most tourists get sucked into staying right by the Colosseum or Spanish Steps, but Prati is where Romans actually want to live. You’re literally a ten-minute walk to Vatican City – I could see St. Peter’s dome from one of the windows – but you’re also surrounded by incredible local restaurants and that fantastic morning market on Via Andrea Doria (seriously, grab cornetti there, not from some touristy café). The metro’s right there too, so getting to Trastevere or the historic center is stupidly easy. What really sold me though was how quiet it gets at night. Viale Mazzini has some traffic during the day, sure, but by evening it’s peaceful enough that you can actually sleep with the windows open – something I definitely couldn’t do when I stayed near Termini last year.

The apartment itself feels luxurious without being stuffy, if that makes sense. The kitchen is actually functional (novel concept, I know), and they’ve got this gorgeous dining table where I ended up working most mornings with proper coffee from their machine. The bathroom has one of those rainfall showers that doesn’t suck, and honestly, the whole place just feels clean and well-maintained. Check-in was smooth too – no awkward key exchanges or hunting around for the right buzzer. I will say the building’s a bit older, so don’t expect a sleek modern lobby, but that’s part of the charm. It feels authentically Roman, you know? The 8.7 rating makes complete sense to me. It’s not perfect – the WiFi got a bit spotty during peak hours, and street parking can be a nightmare if you’re driving – but for what you’re paying and where you are, it’s genuinely solid. I’d definitely book it again, especially if I wanted to feel less like a tourist and more like a temporary local.

  The apartment is located in a fantastic, relatively quiet area and is close to the Vatican (a 15-minute walk), with great public transport links (6-minute walk to the metro station). It’s a spacious apartment consisting of three bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, and two bathrooms. Perfect for a group of friends. The apartment is well-maintained and clean. Communication with the owners is excellent. We highly recommend this place 100%.

  So much space all the rooms were big and had comfortable beds. 10min walk to metro bus stop is about 4min walk. It has a washer so we were able to wash our clothes. Nice kitchen with everything you need. The restrooms had so much cabinet space which we loved.
  
  What could be improved: The AC stopped working in one of the rooms we weren’t able to figure it out. We did reach out & the response was “you’re using AC the temp outside is quite low” I didn’t bother texting back. Getting to the room from walking you’re hot & sweaty we just wanted cool air. Shower in master bedroom water wasn’t running correctly. It was hot then cold it would come out fast then low not a big problem but maybe something for owner to look at.
